I picked up Tenchu Z a few days ago, and I expected myself to absolutely hate it. Well, it's the complete opposite, this game is a blast. It's so bad that it's actually a ton of fun. Sure the graphics aren't up to par, and the AI is as smart as a window licking poodle, but I love jumping down from roofs and gutting someone. :twisted:

Have any of you ever felt this way about a really poor and mediocre game? And what was it?

Well for one you started with low expectations because of a review, so any sign of fun makes it worth it's retail tag. I will get this game when it hits the 20$ box, because that's about what it's worth.

GUN was pretty mediocre but i had a blast playning it.. The only down side is that the last boss is so fu**ing hard on normal cant even imagine how he is on hard :S

Yeah i felt that way about Xmen 3 the official game i loved playing as Night Crawler teleporting around and kicking butt it was awesome i really don't think it was that bad of a game.

HAve you ever played any other Tengu game? If not then this is still original to you and you'll probably like hwo it plays. But Tengu for the original xbox was even better. I've played Tengu Z the demo and it looks even worse then the last gen Tengu games and the AI has become even dumber. There is no way someone who has played Tengu before could like this version.

N3, GUN, Far Cry...god the list goes on lol

Yeah reviews can do that sometimes, but the best thing to do is to remember that they are opinions and well not everyone likes the same things.

EG some peoplecant standor dont know who the misfits are but some see them as legends.

So at the end of the day only judge what you have played and you should have a good time, and I admit I do see a pretty screenshot and then say OOh I want that game but the ones that I have the most fun in arent those for some reason.

Well the newest one I can think of is Shadowrun. It got slammed in the reviews but it's really a great game that didn't get the credit it deserved.capthavic

I agree....Another game I loved but most people hated was Prey.

I've played Stealth Assassins, Wrath of Heaven, Fatal Shadows, Return From Darkness, Time of the Assassins, and Dark Secret. I was always a huge Tenchu fan, but I was put off by this game after playing the demo. Luckily the retail version is much better, and changed my opinion.

Edit: And to answer the question, Chromehounds! I loved this game and had a blast playing it online, but most people hated it for being too slow.
