grid lock (just as the previous games) is by far the best its not very big but its layout encourages close combat so well without making it feel forced and still providing enough cover that you dont feel forced into the open .... yeah I like it
I have to say I'm a little upset with the new maps, they all seem... meh. The only ones that I'm actually happy to play on are Gridlock, gotta love that music, and Sandbar.
i actually favor them all i love them for some reason not to big not to small they are just the right maps and for each game mode it's balanced and i love it
Gridlock same as the previous games, I wish there were more enviromental hazards in the new maps that's one thing I really liked on some maps in Gears of War 2 (like avalanche)
Old town, checkout, sandbar, trenches, thrashball, and of course gridlock are all solid but the rest vary a bit for me between the different game modes. So mostly solid collection of maps but it could have been better. The map packs should straighten things out though.
Sandbar is just a lively map with many areas that are set up for intense battles (Mainly the Castle area) but also many others. Mercy, i just do beast at and it is my best map. So i can't help but like it.
