Repetative mini games or in-game repetative quests are a vital part of majority of the RPG games or open world action adventure games. What would be your favorite in-game occupations and why?

Mine would be:

1. Playing Caravan in Fallout New Vegas. I absolutely love Caravan. I am actually trying to teach fellow friends/gamers so we can actually play it real time.

2. Hunting in Red Dead Redemption. I can't even remember how many hours i have spend free playing and riding around Mexico and New Austin areas in RDR, just hunting wildlife. My favorite spots would be West Alexandria area (Tall Trees, Great Plains and Blackwater area)

3. Sabotage, sabotage, sabotage! Yes, i am talking about The Saboteur and its nundreds upon hundreds of opportunities to sabotage a Nazi squad in an occupied Paris. And collect contraband in the meantime...It was fun for me...

I agree with you on sabotage in The Saboteur.

Also for me was playing Black Jack in the casinos in New Vegas. Man I loved that.

Altho you can only do it for so long b4 they ban u from the establishments. But great while it lasts.

Completely forgot about Caravan. Damn. It would be worth putting the game in again just to relearn how to play that and teach it to my friends, like you said.

Your #2 might get me back into RDR. For some reason I stopped playing that one and never finished it. Maybe a little bit of free-roam hunting will get me back into it.

Thanks for the thread!

No worries man. I have always had this idea in my head that if a game has repetative quests or mini-games, they better be interesting to a degree in order to keep me occupied. Thus the creation of this topic.

Cheers :D

Definitely hunting in RDR. Should have bored me to tears but I found it really fun! I also loved hunting down the most wanted criminals in GTA IV.

RDR hunting is fun but you gotta do it barefoot while wearing the hunting outfit, not on horseback. Now that's when it gets fun

Being a blacksmith in Fable 2 was fun, especially watching the cash build up! Playing pool at a casino in GTA San Andreas was also pretty cool.

While I enjoyed the occupations in Fable 2 (especially the blacksmith) and Caravan in Fallout, I'd have to say I spent the most time and effort playing pazaak in KOTOR. Man, I played pazaak so much I found myself pulling an Atton and playing it in my head while I was doing other stuff. Annoying. At least now the filthy jedi will stay out of my head.
