My first impression? I've done this before....no, wasn't Jedi Knight....hmm...where have I picked things/people up and threw them around with a characters mind...oh yeah, that was Psi-Ops. They modified the Psi-Ops controls, so instead of being able to run while moving things with your mind, you can't...but instead have better control over the object you're moving with the force. In Psi-Ops, you moved an object around with the right anolog stick and controled it's height with how hard you pressed the R1 (or R2?) button.
This is pretty similiar. It's Psi-Ops but with a lightsaber and force lightning. Psi-Ops was awesome, and this game looks awesome too. If you liked this demo, I'd totally recommend Psi-Ops for the PS2 if you just can't wait. Heck, I'd recommend it anyways, it's one of the most underrated games of all time. I love it.
Can't wait for this to come out.
Critisism:
After playing Psi-Ops, this game seems really easy. Is it just me, or does it seem like it has the casual gamer in mind? Psi-Ops just had slightly more violence in it, it seemed...and kick ass weapons --- awesome feats like lifting people in the air and shooting them. *done going on about how great Psi-Ops is*
Over all, though, the force unleashed looks like it'll please all the SW fans (of which I am), at the very least. It's going to be fun.
I just thought the graphics were sub par, the controls were lacking and my character seemed to float and not run. It just lacks a certain polish and feels like a budget title packaged as what will be a full price game. I dunno, just felt like a virtual version of playing with action figures (in a bad way for me)
Theres plenty of other reasons like the voice acting, the AI and the way the enemies move etc... Just not my cup of tea really
