Forza Horizon 3 or Project Gotham Racing 5?

For me I would say (after a lot of thought) I would like to see PGR5 this year, FH3 in 2017 with Motorsport 6 in 2018. Yes I love my racing games :)

Ideally I would like MS to announce both of these games at E3, but we all know they won't. So if you had to choose one over the other which would it be?

Damn that's a tough one mate... good question. I loved the PGR games back in the day, but Forza Horizon 2 was so awesome.

I could go either way.

@hrt_rulz01: Yeah I would be happy with either game. I think though MS needs to look at it's catalogue of IP's from the past and try to resurrect at least 1 a year, thus that's why I though of PGR because come October it will be 9yrs since PGR 4 came out.

@i_p_daily: Yeah maybe rotate between the 3 each year... I'd definitely be in that.

This is definitely one area that Xbox dominates PS... Great racing games.

@hrt_rulz01: Well when it comes to Racing & FPS games the XB1 is ahead of the pack, they just need to top up some other genres.

Tough question, because I remember enjoying PGR back in the day but Forza Horizon 2 is like my favorite racer of all time, a game I still play today. I wouldn't mind the added variety a PGR game would add, so I would be good with that.

But if I really had to choose just one I would have to say Horizon 3. I'd like to see something new though and not just Horizon 2 in a different locale. Don't care what, just add something new to make it feel different and fresh compared to Horizon 2. Whether a new gameplay mechanic, or new game modes, etc

I'd love to see PGR5 come from Playground this year, then a Rallisport game from Turn 10 in 2017, with FH3 from Playground in 2018 and Forza 6 in 2019.

It's been a long time since PGR4 came out, and I'd love to see some diversity in the racing genre, racing sims and TDU clones are getting stale.

Yeah I see what you're saying, but on the other hand you don't want them to move too far away from what made FH 2 so awesome either... some new features would definitely be nice, but no wholesale changes.

Oh yeah definitely. Give you an example of what I mean, when you load Horizon 2 it brings you to this cool parking lot where you can do multi-class showdown races, check out other car liveries. I love it and I dont think it was in Horizon 1 if I remember correctly.

Another thing, when you do online roadtrips(my favorite mode in Horizon 2), its usually 4 back to back races. Love it and again it was not like this on Horizon 1.

So the main game should be very similar in Horizon 3 in terms of core gameplay, but Id like them to spice it up with those features and expand on them. Also I definitely enjoyed Storm Island(expansion) far more than the rally one of Horizon 1. So lots of stuff there to build upon.

It'll be interesting to see where the location will be... maybe back to the States? South America has some nice scenery though. Or down here in Aus :)

I don't think T10 should do a rally game, the rally stuff can be put in FH3 where it belongs. Come to think of it, I think T10 could make PGR5 as they are used to closed track racers, but they would still have to leave motorbikes in the game, so that would be a challenge for them.

As for sims/open world racing games getting stale, well there isn't a lot you can do within the genre to spice things up, and when game devs tried games that did they were failures, with games like Split Second & Blur for example, while I really enjoyed those games the devs got shut down shortly after.

@i_p_daily: I want Turn 10 to do it because they make simulation games, also they used to do downhill point to point races in the older Forza games. As for PGR, a large amount of the staff at Playground are ex Bizarre staff, it'd be like bringing the game back home to them. If anyone can make an authentic PGR game, it would be the studio with ex PGR developers.

@suicidesn0wman: Yeah I know there are a few ex bizzare devs at playground games, and no doubt they could make a great PGR game, but I think T10 need to do something different, and like I said that PGR being a closed track game it would suit T10.

In the end we can both agree we need another PGR game :)

@i_p_daily: Yeah Blur was great, I played that a lot last gen I remember. Big fan of the old Spy Hunter games so I like stuff like Blur.

Actually, all this talk of PGR is making me really want a new, modern version!

@Alucard_Prime: Yeah Blur was one of my fave games on the 360, it had a Holden Commodore in it also which is a big plus for me. It annoyed me that people would call it a Mario Kart clone which is beyond stupid.

Project Gotham Racing 5, my Noble M400 from PGR3 to this day holds a place in my heart.

Lol, same with the Pagani Zonda & Koenigsegg CC V8S from PGR 2 for me.

I'm probably one of a very few, but I liked using the bikes more in PGR4 than I did the cars.

Yeah the bikes were fun but I still preferred the cars for sure.

@hrt_rulz01: Cars were definitely more fun than bikes in 4, and this is coming from someone who races motorcycles. I've recently just purchased PGR4 - took a while out of gaming and decided to get an Xbox 360 (5-10 games for the price of one on the PS4) and wasn't as impressed with it as PGR3. I'm having fun with it for sure, but it's just missing something career mode wise..

@hrt_rulz01: I just found the powerslides you could put down out of a turn on the bikes always puts a smile on my face.

FH3. I'll take it tomorrow, in a year, next week, whatever.

As much as i Iove FH2 (its my fave XB1 game) i'd like to see PGR5 to mix it up a bit and have FH3 next year

I will take both and a new Midtown Madness.

I played Midtown Madness 3 I think it was on the original Xbox, and I must say I didn't like it that much.

I thought it was a great game, just lacking in content. Never understood why it was never made BC like many other original Xbox games on the 360.
