I just got a xbox and it said that you get 30 day live gold free, but I want to know if the count starts sins the moment you start a acaunt or wend you first conect to live?

It will start when you register your gamertag to a gold trial. you have to go through a whole process, so after you do that you will have the 30 days.

In order for it to start you have to connect it to gold.
