COME ON PEOPLE. USE SOME COMMON SENSE, APRIL YOU CAN'T TRUST ANYTHING. GAME INFORMER DID THIS FOR APRIL FOOLS. ALSO MICROSOFT WOULD NOT RELEASE A NEW SYSTEM JUST A YEAR AND A HALF FROM 360. WHATEVER YOU GUYS THINK THIS NEW CONSOLE IS, THEY WOULD HAVE DONE THAT ORIGINALLY. IT WOULD COST TOO MUCH TO CHANGE IT NOW. GET THESE STUPID FU#KING IDEAS OUT OF YOUR HEADS AND/OR YOUR A#S. Sorry i did not keep this in the sticky, but i had not seen this posted anywhere (Do not kill me if it was please).
In the newest GameInformer they have the confirmed new 360. Black system, 120Gb HDD, No HD DVD, HDMI output, included HDMI cord. $480. If you do not believe me go to EB or Gamestop they have the mag out on shelves it is in the Press STart section just a little 2 page spread. O and all Black accessories to follow.

Damn, if this is true, it makes the ps3 20GB at $500 seems pretty cheap. Plus I can alway swap out the 20GB and put a 160GB drive from newegg.com

It would feel like sony putting back rumble into every new sixaxis sold after the launch. What does it mean for the people who already have the sixaxis without the rumble.

I really think this is GI's April Fool's joke. Their April issue would be later in the month for most people to get, and technically not in time for April Fool's. I'm calling this one a joke on all their readers.

Glad to see MS is tryna catch up to sony finally. Now all they need to add is wifi, blutooth, memory stick/SD/Compac flash slots, blu-ray and we're good to go.

good thing about ps3 harddrives is they can go beyond 120gb. they can even get to 1teabyte. and anothe good thing is they are not restricted to one brand which makes for different pricing. god im startin to hate my 360. why does MS restrict us to MS accessories such as memory card, HDD, Headset(kinda), Camera and steering wheel.ps3 fanboys are free to 3rd party accesories making them cheaper and wider variety

people have fit 1 teravyte. I dought its a notebook HDD> most likely PC HDD but either way its better than our 360's 20gb hdd or 13gb to be exact.you migh not need wifi but alot of people do. for wireless connection. some of us are tired of wires. and maybe homebrew peopel can come up with ways for 360 to interact with psp using some sick homebrew lol. memory slots are actually needed. im tired of my 360's last gen stupid MS cards. i'd rather use cards i aleady have like my digital camea's cards, psp stick e.t.c. Wii doesent have those slots but some PC's do. and pc's have the card readers so dont get it twisted. And blu-ray is next-gen. better than dvd any day. if we had hd-dvd for gaming i wouldnt wine about blu-ray. but dvd cant hold much expecially if the new 360 will have hdmi for 1080p. for instance, the sound alone in MGS4 can fill the dvd9 that 360 uses, so i dought we are gonna get MGS4 cause of this..And already Kojima is askin for 50gb blu-ray,(damm).

I love my 360 but I feel robbed too... so if I want the bigger drive (which I do to store music and play it through my tv) and the HDMI output (which I do because I have a HD tv) I have to buy the 360 all over again? That is a rip to those that already bought it and paid the premium pricing when it was released. We should have gotten those features right off the bat.

I think this new verion of th 360 will be coming, but it won't be a 'rip off' to people like us who own one already. From what I have read, the new one with the HDMI will be built primarily for Microsoft's IPTV plans. HD-DVD and Blu-Ray will be old news (especially when stand alone players drop in price and combo players become more available)...IPTV will be the new feature in association with downloadable HD movies. If you aren't interested in IPTV, no need at all for the new one.

Am I the only person who wouldn't be upset if this is true? I got the 360 the day it came out and I have roughly 40 games for it. I think it'd be nice to have a 2nd one so I have one in my bedroom and the other in the living room.

i thought the same as you and also checked gameinformer.com. you're right, there's nothing there about it. however, i did just come from the local mall and checked out the latest copy as they had it on hand at the Gamestop there, and it's all true.

Now, whether or not it's a April Fools joke, as someone else speculated, remains to be seen. If it is a joke though, then all I can say is that it's a very lame joke.

I guess if you got a regular 360 that hasn't broken yet, and if you take good care of it(good ventilation, power brick away from large dust build up, etc.) you won't really notice extreme crave for a new 360.
