Do you recommend purchasing Gamefly's services to an addict like myself? Why or why not?

They do. I live a few miles from the shipping center in Pittsburgh.

It's worth it.

I don't think so. I had a subscription for 3 games for about two months and the turn around time was so long I finally quit. Plus a few games they claimed they sent never made it to my house.

it depends. do you have friends that have the 360 and buy games too? if so make a list of the titles you all want to play, then decide who buys what games, then just loan or trade the games to each other. for some games, like halo3, you may all want your own copy to keep forever, but those are games you would be buying even if you go with gamefly. with gamefly there is shipping time when you cant play a game. if you get in a mood for something else you have to wait, you cant just pop in an old title since you returned it. you can do those "buy two used get 1 free" deals to build a library fairly quickly. and you dont have to worry about what you already own being "out of stock" and having to wait on a list. a rental is a rental, that means you be paying as much for a platinum hit as the latest release, you wont get discounts. you dont get to keep anything, unless you pay even more.

the only way i would use gamefly is if i wanted to be at the top of the list in achievment points and wanted to try to play EVERY game, no matter how bad it was just for the points. then it would save you money. if you play for points not fun go for it. and keep in mind that you will get an urge to play a game years later, thats why retro sells so well on arcade. some games are timeless, unless you rented then it's time up.

You should see if Blockbuster is still doing that summer gaming deal where you pay $50 and get free game rentals one at a time all summer. It was either them or hollywood doing it last summer and the summer before that. That is about the $25 per month you would pay for gamefly, and you get a new game every time you go to the store.

If you get the one that lets you rent out two games at a time i would imagine its worth.....

get one sent....play it.....get the second one sent to you once youre close to done with the first one. get the second game and repeat the cycle

i would say no and buy games with high replay value or really deep rpgs such as the Elder Scrolls series and go to blockbuster occasionally. If you are already spending money on XBL its not worth the rent.

its definitly worth it if your block buster sucks as much as mine. they never have any games, and havent updated their library of ovies or games in about a year, or at least it seems that way
