10,000
I even put in that terrible game of mlb 2k6 for that one......got me the points tho....i'm at 10500 now
I'm not too far from 20k. I just haven't had the time to get the points because I started up a new job very recently, and have been playing a lot of Forza -- which is pretty stingy with points.
I haven't really gone ape with playing lousy games for points... though when they had that contest to get Fuzion Frenzy for free, I played NBA 2k6 and College Hoops 2k6 -- both of which were actually very enjoyable. Around the same time, I picked up MLB 2k6 because it was cheaper than 2k7 and I wanted to see if 360 had a good baseball game out. It doesn't, so if you're looking for baseball, get another system, lol. At least it was an easy 1000, though, which put me over for the free Fuzion Frenzy game. All in all, I only go for games that I like, though... I simply don't have the money to drop $60 on something like TMNT, or $5 on Rally-X so I can play through it for 200 points and never look at it again.
I'll invest time in getting achievements -- God knows it took some time to get 1000 in Dead Rising, or 1250 in Oblivion, or 1000 in Viva Pinata (50 hours to be exact) -- but I generally don't invest money in getting them.
But I'll probably hit 20k soon... whenever I can get around to playing through EDF a few more times or something, lol.
Point whore. . . . . . . . . J/K... but I get called that all day long. I get trash talked more than most just due to the high gamerscore... that ever happen to you in MP games?I just hit 43,000. 43,004 to be exact. I got to 35,000 easy enough but its slowed down since then for 2 reasons.
1. In the beginning, once i beat a game, id then go back and try for certain achievements i didnt get the first time. Games like Gun, where you get an achievement for beating it on every difficulty. Not just Hard then you get all the others, you had to go through it 4 different times. Anyway, i find myself not doing that as much. Not because i dont enjoy the games but more because there are MORE games to enjoy now.
2. As developers are getting used to the whole achievements thing, they seem to be taking the time to actually think about what the achievements are before putting them in the game, which makes them harder to get. Ex. NBA2K. 2K6 had 5 achievements. I got all 1,000 points in NBA2K6 in ONE game. The first game i played. NBA2K7 now has 50 achievements. 15 of those acievements are getting X points or X rebounds or X blocks with different players. It may not be difficult, but its alot more time consuming.
I like the new "system" of achievements. There are more of them per game, theyre harder, they take more time. They make getting certain achievements fun. Ones like, beating the whole game without dieing like in FEAR. Or base jumping 1000 meters in Just Cause. To me achievements like that are alot of fun to get.
And please people, stop calling EVERY person with a high gamerscore an "achievement whore". I enjoy the points. But i wont play a game JUST for the points. Ive got all 1,000 points in 15 games, but i also have 0 points in 11 games. You know why? Because i played the game, didnt like it, and stopped playing it.

Got my 360 in september.
up to 6800.... problem is i rent games (i get free rentals) so i normally only get like 300 points on each game
Hahahaha 40K gamerscore, wow someone needs a life. That means you have a minimum of about 40 games. I doubt that they are all good games either, meaning you have rented piece of crap games like Open Season or Cars just to boost your gamerscore, and you wasted money on that.
How does it feel to waste money to raise a number that does absolutely nothing? How does it? Honestly? I'd feel kind of stupid if I were you.

congratulations, you made yourself sound like an idiot by not reading any of the posts before you made your own.
:D I love playing games and I love :arrow:Xbox Live and talking smack:twisted: w/ you guys online... to me that's what it's all about...
:arrow:Next-Generation Gaming is playing games with your friends on Xbox Live. PERIOD.
I guess my next milestone is 50,000. Unfortunately my 360 is being repaired so I been playing Halo 2 For Vista to feed my gaming rage for now. I should get it back tomorrow or the next day. I am so lonely......lol :)
But what really sucks is I had just gotten in Shadowrun. Played it for like 10 minutes and my 360 croaked. I was really looking forward to that game. And seeing my freinds play it day after day on Xbox.com doesn't help :)
just passed 10k last night.....considering I don't get to play games nearly as much as I would like :)
**** you bills and work and all that "life" stuff ;)
It seems a lot of people remember their first 10K... I do, I think going from a 4 digit number to a 5 is what makes it seem more special. I remember when I broke 10,000... that one was probably the most exciting!just passed 10k last night.....considering I don't get to play games nearly as much as I would like :)

You are way off... my "games played" list is at 150 games on 360. Not all were winners, but I love to try all types of games. I have beeen playing games since the 2600 and I will always play games. (I've played many thousands of games in my lifetime too I'm sure, and I used to own two video game stores in Indiana, GAME SOURCE and GAME GO ROUND) I don't play all the games "just" for points, I am a diehard video gamer. Period. I'm 33 with 3 kids, a house, a wife and a good job. I'm sorry that I have type of life, and the time and money to play more games than you, but if you work really hard at life, you may get to sit back and enjoy a hobby you love. I noticed you said you own PS3, Wii, 360, DS and PSP... that's more systems than me, so..................... Should I "feel stupid" for playing all those games... nahhhh, it feels awesome! It's just something I'm good at... kinda like how you are much better than me at looking like a tool on internet forums.Hahahaha 40K gamerscore, wow someone needs a life. Owned.
But my gamerscore went up by almost 1000 after reading this topic. I never looked at it like this, but now I have something to play for instead of just playing to beat the game.
10,000 to 30,000 went fairly quick for me, just because I started getting more serious about it at around 10,000... and played EVERYTHING to get me up quickly. In the 30's was when I went back to playing less games.remaGloohcSdlO
Congtatz on the 40k. I've noticed the same thing. 10,000 to 30,000 also went fairly quickly for me. It's nice to see a thread that's not about bashing people with gamerscores over 10k.

Man! I've been stuck in the 10,000 point range for 6 months! Probably because I haven't gotten many games lately, plus my xbox was broken for 1 of those months... I have recently felt the need to break 20,000 though, so I'm gonna hit the 360 up a little more soon.

don't be so impressed, yes he is the #1 gamerscore leader in the world, but little of it is legit. Rance6 is a notorious game saver, account trader, and anything else considered illegal in the gaming community. almost everybody in the top 25 uses some illegal methods to boost score. i know stripclubdj and he used to game save, but he doesn't do any of that anymore and he's still #3. I have no desire to rise that high in the gamerscore ranks, i'd just like to keep my score at a reasonable amount. once i get my 360 back i should be up to 25,000 and probably 30,000 soon.
but i'll probably also just spend time playing games for fun like guitar hero II and GoW.
so yeah, looking at some of the top scores seems impressive at first, but when you think about how sad the methods they use just to stay atop that silly leaderboard are...you kinda almost feel bad for them.

^^btw that's a link to all of the top scores in the world (ones with *s next to them means that person trades his account overseas to have someone else work on gamerscore for them).
