I feel the urge to own a lot of the new games on the market like you, so that I don't miss an awesome experience, but I end up not caring about the games after they've for a little while, and I tell myself I won't play it that much anyway prolly because at most I only play 4 hoursm straight when I get REALLY into a game, and that's not very often. Then on a rental on some weekend when nothings planned I can play all day trying to beat an engaging game.

I cant play more than 2 hours these days, sometimes not more than a couple online games. I get bored of them easily although I still love games. But when GTA4 comes out, that's all I will be able to do all day.SouL-Tak3R
hell yah dude gta 4
Same here. I admit that I have the gamer's addiction but I'm not asking for any kind of help. Life would be pretty damn boring if entertainment never existed. Video games help maintain my sanity whenever life kicks ya in the ass. It's either lose my sanity and die from boredom or conquer games and make a name for yourself. I usually play 4-6 hours daily during the week and 7-10 hours during the weekend.

Exactly why I rented mine when it died but got it back in a week.
Weekdays - I play about 2-3 hours on the PSP at work (I can get kinda bored, and the boss doesn't mind as long as I'm all caught up on my work). Then I play about 3 hours of 360 per weeknight.
Weekends - I play anywhere from 5-20 hours.

I think I share the same problem, partially. I've been gaming since I was a little boy and I dont plan to stop anytime soon. I have to admit, gaming is a lifestyle for some but I manage to maintain and manage my career, hold down the bills, and take care of my responsibilities. I too, feel compelled to own the hottest titles on the market. Sometimes, I find myself pre-ordering games because I want to be guaranteed a copy on its release day. Sometimes, I go to sleep thinking about my experience on video game. But usually, I knock out before I could even get a chance, because my eyes were so tired from playing Gears of War multiplayer online, until the early morning . If I wasnt a financial services business owner, I would probably be working as a video game editor, or some guy on a dev team making games for you fabulous people. And then, there are days I could gave a rat's hoot about games. Those are my cloudier days. Rest assured, gaming is not only fun, but it takes you into a fantasy world where you can live out some people's imaginations.
My time with video games is better measured weekly, it's roughly 10-15 hours a week. It would be more but girlfriends don't like that. lol. :)
