[QUOTE="x-2tha-z"]I think it's time for a new generation of consoles anyway. I've had my 360 since 2005. It's time for something new. I'd love it if they released the next xbox next year.UT_WrestlerI doubt that the games would look significantly better if they were already releasing a new console next year. Do you know how pissed people would be if they spent 500 bucks on a new console for games that barely look any better than ones already on the 360? Graphical technology hasn't made the improvements in the past 4 years that they've made in previous generations. We went from 2d to prettier 2d, then 3d to prettier 3d, then prettier 3d to HD, so what transition is there left to make now? You can't expect graphics to have a huge leap forward until the tech is there to run it. If developers had more RAM, processing and graphical power you can bet they'd find way's to use it. The 360 only having 512MB of RAM is a big downer IMO. I just think these consoles are getting outdated now. I think we've seen as much as they can give.

So what you're saying is, all you want is improved graphics, which is BS is if you ask me, because games look fine the way they are, and great games are still being developed in this gen.
And just to let you know, the consoles have been 'outdated' ever since their release. Technology is always growing. Them being 'outdated' is old news, but why start the next gen so early when these 'outdated' machines are still going strong?

Uh huh. :|
As aforementioned technology advances constantly and might I mention at an alarming rate. In terms of "POWER" these consoles were outdated before hitting store shelves. Tough luck though because we're not even close to the end of this generation. You can either deal with it or stop gaming altogether. That's one reason I can't stand PC gaming because it REQUIRES constant upgrading to keep up-to-date. Games don't need photorealistic graphics to be fun, or innovative. You're just a common graphics whore.

I admit, I am a total graphics whore, but there's more that could be done with updated hardware than just better graphics. One common example is the constant framerate drops in Oblivion and Mass Effect. With better hardware this wouldn't be an ussue. More RAM is needed.Good. Epic needs to seriously overhaul the gameplay mechanics. The multiplayer, and even single player, is way too glitchy. Gears 2 online was so fun, but the glitches and lag caused me to just quit it altogether a long time ago.bluem00sethis, it's a fun game but one that seriously needs a lot of work

Please tell me you're being sarcastic. -_-
No sarcasm. I'm being serious. I think it's time for the new generation. I'd buy the next xbox if it was released next year. I just hope the rumours aren't true that we're stuck with the 360 until 2013. I hope they are, or even longer would be better. Please Log In to post.
