But graphics are still better than Gears ` the textures seems to be better, the color pallete and the amount of action is solid with so many characters going on and the lightining is improved also the draw distance is great, also animations are improved this. There was no AA in Gears 1 but this one will have it.

I agree as well, Gears Of War 2 looks just the same as Gears 1. Not much differences, Graphics are same, Gameplay is same, not sure about the story and so on. All i see different is that Gears 2 looks abit more brighter and smoother in my opinion.

Grand Theft Auto IV is a totally different game and is indeed going to get GOTY competing with MGS4. Its the 1st ten after a long time, same for other sites. My prediction is that Gears Of War 2 will get 9 or 9.5

GTA is a great game, but it is NOT new. Almost nothing has been added gameplay wise; they actually took many things from the past games out.

GTA and Gears are actually not comparable one is freeroaming other is like story dirven gamepaly so there is a lot of variation. But yeah graphics wise the scale and intensity is higher in Gears 2 this time.

Perhaps I'm not far enough into GTA4 yet, but what gameplay revolutions are you refering to? Surely you aren't refering to "taking cover" or "blind firing" because both were taken straight from Gears of War 1.

What gameplay revolutions do I have to look forward to that haven't already been present in previous GTA games?

I wonder why everyone so protecting GTA like its the only game you need, nothing else. LIke it the god of all video games. NO it not. Its just a new egine that does more detail thigs, new gameplay features like in all GTA games they bring out, but the cut stuff out from others games and implement things from other games that came out; for example ( cell phone came from Saint Row first, cover system came from Kill switch or R6V, Gears,). stealing cars blowing things up I did it all before, its nothing to spectacular people. Just a new GTA game with the same features and implenmented new ideas thats all. All gta games feels the same so shut up about GTA GOTY!m4crz3y

Ok well isnt Gears of war gonna add a new engine and more detailed things JUST LIKE GTA? If so why you aren't complaining to the people who say GOW is gonna be better than GTA. And why do people act like GOW was the first ever game to have the cover system?

Not even close! More like Gears of War 1.5!!!! More of the same just with a couple more colours and more things on screen. The story im guessing is going to be non-existent again and that is a major player in Game of the Year not graphics! I can see it getting very boring halfway through like the first unless there is new gameplay elements that can keep this douche bag sucker going tell the end. Hope for no more horrible on the rails crappy driving mission. MGS4 GoY!!!!! hands down. Now thats a story with solid gameplay.

Revamped Driving and Shooting. And it had the best story and characters out of all of them, I don't think there was a single thing NOT imrpvoed about GTA4.

Why are you bashing on Gears? when GTA 4 is exactly the same facking thing? Fanboys everywhere. of course the game wont improve graphic wise! we wont be seen better graphics until the next generation console. I hate GTA 4 fanboys.

Gears 2 looks great, but its way too early to jump to GOTY award we're not even half way through the year! what about Fable 2? Battlefield Company? MGS 4? and plenty other games!

All you guys have to think about is whether or not Gears Of War 2 will gross over $500 million dollars.

Once you think about that then its easy to say that Gears 2 wont be game of the year. Plus it has nowhere near as good a story as gta IV or mgs

That question is for peston that already has that edition of the game.

The new extra maps and deleted chapter of the gow2 is on the disk or it is like an xbox live code in the package.

And i ask that for the persons that DON'T have xbox live account if they can play the deleted sinle player chapter.
