I don't know about selling my copy, but it's getting boring. I played through the campaign, and multiplayer just isn't that fun. It was the same with the first one.
multiplayer is broken now thats the problem i played gears 1 to death and i cant play gears 2 as the matchmaking wont put me in one lag free game. (being in england). it doesnt let u look for matches with a good connection and i cant find 10 friends to play private match with. why cant they just have a list with connection strength next to it? but at least horde works and bots can help if u cant play games online but its not the same.
Yeah I am getting tired of gears2 because the online pretty much sucks, I even got tried of the story mode because it is too long then the first one so I said the hell with it. I am just going to play ncaa football 09 for a while because the gears2 got really boring for me. I don't think I would see my copy of gears2, but if u like racing games pick need for speed undercover. I like that game a lot the story maybe a little confusing at first but once you get into it, this turns out to be a really good game. With all the cars that you get is just simply amazing. There are so much more cars in need for speed undercover then there is in midnight club LA.
NOPE.. sorry, but i don't think ill ever get bored of GOW 2, well at least not for awhile! It has so much to do and if you at least have a decent connection online is really fun! Love it to death!
like most sci-fi-based games, it's too much of the same. gears 1, halo 3, dead space, bioshock, creed. even oblivion suffers from this syndrome. i don't understand how developers keeping falling into this trap. doesn't make it a bad game mind you, just makes you wish it could be a bit more varied. that's what i admire about the half-life series. valve keep you interested from start to finish without failing once. more games valve! please!
Nope, not for me. The MP is really competitive and fun. What turns people off is that its hard to get a kill when everyone is better than you and of course the long matmaking system that has been fixed via the patch. Play another game and give gears a try once more.

The game came out a month ago, you're not supposed to be still playing it
You should be playing something else, that's why they make new games
You play something else then come back to Gears 2 sometime down the line.
You make a good point. Most people become addicted to one game, then complain about it being the only thing they play. I played COD4 so much that I just had sell my copy. It was taking up way too much of my time and was starting to become way to repetitive. Even my friends sold their copies over the course of a few months after release. Now they're all playing WaW, so I'm assuming after a few months, maybe 1 month who knows, WaW will get boring and people will stop playing that as much too. Definitely give Gears 2 a break and play some other games in the meantime. Then when you get that urge to play Gears 2 again, you won't have to re-buy it.
i think you should give the MP another chance because i was like everybody else who said that gears 2 didn't even come close to what gears 1 was. i stuck with it tho and gradually learned that you can't play gears2 like you did gears 1. Fiddle around with the game and find something that works for you and don't give up if your a serious fan. I was so close to trading in gears2 but im glad i didn't because now im decent and realized that i sucked so bad before haha
yeahhh, it's getting just a wee bit boring for me. it's fun and all but it's JUST not that fun anymore. but I LOVE playing co-op. I have yet to play online, though :(
i get bored a long time. Multiplayer is the same with the gears 1.. but the point is COD:WaW > Gears2 :Dcrazy1942
Thats a very good point lol, gears2 was a bit over hyped with anticipation, i dont really think it should even be considered a top 10 prospect for the year, if your looking for a third person shooter that doesnt get boring then gears2 is not the right choice, i know i know apparently its fun, but for me having to load like 100 shots to kill an enemy is a load of @%@$, the game is too unrealistic and i traded it in after 3 days.
If you are looking for good multiplayer then cod waw is the best choice atm. Great matchmaking quite simply.
The multiplayer is a big let down. The only two things I enjoy about multiplayer is co-op and Horde mode. The other modes just take too long to get a match and are almost always not evenly matched. The campaign is something i'm willing to play over and over again and try to finish it on insane.
Not bored of it, although I am a little frustrated at the multiplayer. I want ot be able to cycle the maps on private matches so you don't keep coming back to the lobby when a game finishes.. It disrupts the play!
This happens to every game. It's not a knock against Gears. Like others said, just put it down for a while. Watch, you'll sell it, get an urge to play it again, then come back here to the forums asking where you can pick up a cheap used copy.

*smacks head* or maybe its the mentality that he should not be playing a game only a month after its release. I personally jump around game to game, but thats not because a new game is out, I just play what I'm in the mood for. Just shelf it for a bit and play call of duty or halo or what-ever other kind of game you like, then in a few weeks or a month or so pop GOW2 back in and if its still boring then consider selling it.
