Gears of War 2/Epic banned me from forums

hey how bout you just leave. If you don't care about it then just don't post replies and go talk somewhere else. I posted it up there and people are responding. Also your statment is wrong, I didn't care that they banned me and I don't care that they did. I am surprised that they did and think they are pathetic for not being able to take my critiscim.

Like I said before, you weren't criticising, you were trolling. You seriously think that Epic would ban someone for critcism? Or even constructive criticism at best? No. They would definitely ban someone for trolling though, that's for sure. And in this case, you sir, were the troll.

Wow, all you guys who are saying that "he deserved it" really cant take a little constructive criticism can you?

The house analogy being used here is a little extreme. I would consider it more like a random guy at a press conference and starts criticising the product being shown. Will they throw him out if hes not being derogatory or abusive to anyone? Of course they wont.

So to all of you who are saying that he deserved it, youre all as big of babies as EPIC is.

that is what I did on Epic forum, and you can go and read most of what I put on that forum on my profile cause I have it up. Just add the whole "I will sell the game at the end and you will get the whole jist of it.

And yes it was extremly easy to get kills with the chainsaw when it first came out. If you differ then you must be a super noob. I remember using chainsaw when it first came out and got 15 kills easy.

lol why would anybody even try to defend epic games? lol calling their game an epic fail is an understatement.... their programmers make rookie mistakes, I dont understand how they hired guys with such crappy programming habbits to make such a huge mainstream game

Great. You defined the word criticism. Whoop-de-doo. But, you're sole purpose of even making the thread, was to intentionally tell everyone that Gears Of War 2 sucks, am I correct? Last time I checked, doing that on EPIC'S forums, will clearly upset everyone. And that's what a troll does. Making threads which has a clear objective, which is to upset people. Maybe, if you posted this here in Gamespot, I would have a different opinion. But posting it on Epic's forums, changes everything. Granted, I don't have to believe anything you say, and you don't have to believe anything I say, but that's how it's interpreted by me, and surely by many others.

You can make it seem 'justified' and 'formal', but when it comes right down to it, you did troll. Intentionally, or unintentionally, it doesn't matter now does it? At the end of the day, you are happy (I think), and now Epic fan boy's are starting a riot over your words. Isn't that what everybody wants? :)

If you made the game better, then people wouldnt have to comment the way he did. Clearly here you can see he is not the only one who has this opinion, hes just the only one who cared enough, or had the *stones* to say it for people to see. If you cant handle people bashing your game, then dont bring it out. People always talk about "im going to *insert competitor here*" all the time. Go to any retail store where someone has a complaint and you will hear that. Do they get banned from the store? Of course not. Why? Thats even worse PR than letting the person speak his piece.

You must be brand new to the Internet and definitely to forum communities. Most any site that's about something in particular, be it a game, a movie, a piece of technology, so on, they get rid of people who show up flaming it. This is not new.

And your notion that "If they'd made the game better, no one would need to complain" is laughable, and screams that you're not thinking about what you're writing. People complain about everything, and no game that has ever been made is going to be so good that no one is going to whine about it.

Ok let me get this clear I didn't just go on Epic forums and just say I hate this game, this game sucks. I said that the game was once good and that it had changed for the worse and then I explained why it was good. Then after my list I went on to say a few more things that irrateted me about the game and said that I was going to sell it. So was that trolling? Also I got on the forums so that I could post replies. My first intention of getting on the website was so talk to other people but then the game started to screw me over so I made my list.

It doesn't matter if you put the good first. If you're intention is to bash the game, it's trolling.

yeah i have say what did you expect i mean you cant do that anywhere if you were to start talking trash about GS on the GS forums you would get banned too. All forums are like that.

no because that has nothing to do with gamespot but if you made an account suicide thread about how you couldnt stand Gamespot anymore they would its the same for all fourms. It is trolling if you dont like the game fine stay away from the forum dont go there and rant about how much you dont like it. Epic knows gears has problems and has admitted that so i dont see what the big deal is play the game if you like it or dont if you hate it and move on with your life.

Look, we can all see that you're being close minded and believing that you're right, and Epic is just being a bunch of wusses.

Being honest about a game and pointing out it's flaws, and talking about how other games are better, is still bashing. Look at my review I did on Too Human. Everything I said is true, but I was still bashing it. The only difference is, it's my personal review, not a forum. If I were to do that on Silicon Knight's forum (if they even have one) and wrote that, I would be banned for sure.

#1, Because it's their home turf. They don't like taking crap just as much as you do.

#2, Everyone else on their forum loves the game. Having someone come in and say the game is not great, and other games are more worth your money, isn't exactly a good, or even considerate thing to do.

#3, It's your opinion. Many people may think that the things you don't like, are actually for the better.

Specific forums aren't made for concentrating on the negatives, they're made for discussions of that item in the most positive way, or to ask questions about it. And to make things even easier to understand if you still have disbeliefs, go to the PS3 forum here on Gamespot, and make a thread saying the PS3 isn't great, and all it's exclusives aren't as good as other console's . Will you get modded? Yes, you will.
