Gears Of War Error Message!

I rented Gears Of War and when I put the game in my XBOX 360, then a white screen comes up. It says "Put the game in an XBOX 360 console", and then is also says it in a bunch of other languages too. Has this happend to anyone else? Or does anyone know how to fix the problem?

dude, the game was proby just scratched, it happened to me wen my oblivion game got a big scratch in it........now it dosent work D;

The game had some scratcheds around the outer part of the disk, but they wern't that bad. I try another disk, Thanx.
