I would say that it isn't too late. Its a fantastic game which if you get into the multiplayer can really keep you playing for a long time. I still play it and I have had it since December. I would definitely advise you to get it, hopefully you can find a reduced price too considering the length of time it has been out. :)
well, with your final fantasy comment im assuming youre talking about the multiplayer side of things. lots of people still play it (even after the halo hoopla), so its not like you'll have any trouble finding a game online. more importantly, its awesome.

That's how I felt about G.R.A.W. 2. To me, it seems like that game came out way too soon after G.R.A.W. was released. I hope Gears of War 2 doesn't come out for a while!
It's never to late. The only problem would be I don't have XBL so I don't know how many ppl are still playing online, but it's a great game and I have a lot of fun playing the campaign on my own or split screen with my friends. It's one of my favorite 360 games.
No it's not too late. I finally got it and an xbox 360 last week and have since played through the campaign multiple times even with having other games to play right next to me. The online co-op will make you happy.

Forget Halo 3, you can't compare the two, two TOTALLY different games an game engines. There's always gonna be diehard Gears fans that will play it. There's still alot of people online so yes, go buy it.
Never too late to play the campaign.... it is much too late to consistently find a good game though. It was already tough during the peak of popularity...

Rent it, the multiplayer is not as deep as Halo 3.... even though I cant really say Halo 3 is better in single player... Gears is better in single player, Halo 3 is better in multiplayer.
halo 3 is a simplistic shooter, if you played halo 1 or 2 they are exactly the same (that doesn't mean its a bad game though i still play once in awhile) Gears is just more EPIC! Halo3 is childish and silly it doesn't even make sence the way you fight in it. At least in Gears it makes MORE sence (chainsaws on guns c'mon... but cool!) so ya i stopped playin Halo3 after i hit level 36 it just gets boreing so no it isn't too late. Thx 4 listening!
Now is a good time because you can get it used for cheaper. The game was not worth $60. --> because I did not like the cutscenes interupting gameplay, the slow walks during radio transmissions, same enemies over and over, RETARDED chatter from your worthless squad, or the multiplayer. But hey, you might be in to all that stuff.
