Gears of War- Let down?

Does anyone feel, that after two years of hype and excitment, that Gears was a let down?

i've not played it yet (i'm new to 360), but i hope it wont be.. i don't think it will the video's look great.

really wish there was a demo for it though, i hate buying games based on video alone. now that i have a 360 with demo's available, i probably wontbuy many games unless there's a demo.no demo to me means eitherthe company knows the game sucks, or the company is greedy/lazy and knows people will buy it anyway.

Well, my expectations exceeded what my intitial thoughts were. On the other hand, i just got dragged in the hype flow. I'm not much for action games anymore, but my mind just became "Its Gears, has to be good". I don't have live so... err, the SP wasn't much.

I've played it live too, not for my taste.

If you like fast paced FPS then you won't be disappointed. The only thing you may not like are some of the people that play it, but its good to remember that not all people are like that

I personally got bored after playing 3-4 hours of the game in campaign mode. Only my 12 years old brother still plays it to this day. I think the graphics aren't all that, honestly (Bravia 1080p TV by the way. Kameo looks better than it imo). I want to sellGOW just for the sake of not having it anymore in my library. Don't even get me started with the online mode. I think I never met so many rude and nasty people in a single online game, and trust me, I've played lots of online games.

And maybe you doget more exited playing games all day than i do going out with my friends that doesnt make you any cooler

4000 posts over more then 4 years means I spend all my time on a computer? That's not even 1 post per day. Think before you type next time...

Besides the fact that I probably have more excitement in 1 week of my life then you do in a year. But I don't know sh-t about you, so I'm not gonna assume I know you like you assume to know me.

I'm sorry but I just fell the need to point out how terribly wrong your math is...Four times 365 is 1460. 4,000 divided by 1,460 is about 2.7. That seems much more than "not even one post per day"

Anyway....Gears of War is the most amazing shooter since Half Life 2 or Halo 2. It never left the disc tray of my 360 until five months after the release date, and even then it was not for long.

Who said anything about being cool? You must be pretty insecure if you need to convince yourself that you're cooler then somebody that you never met and know nothing about.gintheplacetobe

Its not fast paced (they walk like tanks) and its not an FPS (first person), IMO its just a really good looking TPS with interesting gameplay but the MP is really nothing to boast about.

I never let the hype get to me. Actaully I had no idead what gears of war was until a few months before it was released. Then I got it on launch and I liked it just thought it was a bit overrated. Then a played co-op and everything changed. It is easily in my top 10 favorite games of all time.

And i do know stuff bout you

1. Youre a loser

2. you have no friends

4. You still live with your mum

5. you think that slagging peole on gamespot makes you cool
