well i'm guessing this is gears of war one i didn't play all through gears of war 2 only like the first mission but i got with another person or a friend and we both got torque bows and charge them up all the way and let loose on him and thats how i did it took a couple tries but i found it the best solution
Don't bother shooting him when he is surrounded by bats. wait until the chopper turret takes care of his shield then torque bow his ass. Also, don't stay in the darkness for too long.
Switch between touque bow and sniper, touqueis to gethis shield away and then snipe him in the head until he dies, if he comes to close to you run to the other end but stay in the light or the kryl might kill you. try to get some help by s;it screen with one of your friends or online.
Well i beated him up with the sniper...You have a machine gun in front of you and if you have those creepy bat's surrounding him you can't kill him...If you move you should be cautious about the lights cuz' the bats can kill ye if you'r in the dark...
The battle with Raam is based on luck if your playing alone. I beat him with Longshot & Lancer. After a few retries the AI does something stupid, sometimes he doesn't walk to get your spot & shoots from afar & sends the kryll. That's the best time to beat him shoot him in the head with the Longshot I think it takes 10 shots in the head to drop him dead.
Wait are you talking about insane or what cuz I know it takes more than 10 shots to the head with a longshot on insane. Torque and then snipe. Use frags also if he still isn't dead after that.

Hide behind one of the square stones in the middle. Raam will get stuck on the other side and you can easily blindfire him to death. Works on all difficulties and makes it one of the easiest boss fights I know.
If its on Insane get a buddy to Torque him then you Snipe his head (or you torque and your partner snipes its up to you). Just repeat until he's dead. Worked for me.
just like everybody said.. use your bow to release the shield of Kryl swirling around him, quickly switch to the sniper rifleusing head shots.. If he gets too close, run to the other end and repeat.. just remember to stay in the light !
And if the tips above didn't help, go on to Youtube and watch the videos to see how other people killed him. That's probably the easiest way to solve your problem.
