What's up everyone. So me and two of my friends go on live on gears about 2-3 times a week (we all play other games like cod4 and gta) and not be cocky or conceeded or anything, but we are sick at it. We honestly win 19 out of 20 games. That's not the point though, the point is the people we play with, and against, are huge douchebags most of the time.
A lot people complain about the Halo community becayse of the 'little kids' who talk trash constantly, even if you're smoking them, but I would honestly prefer that over the Gears community any day. As if it wasn't hard enough to get a game going with friends because of the whole no matchmaking thing, it's even harder when the entire other team decides to quit EVERY time, just because they are getting smacked, and even if it's a good game but they lost a round.
Every game we join, we go opposite to the host side to make it fair. Every game is the same. Let's use a 3 round annex as an example. First round, the other team wins, talks some trash, the usual. Second round, we win, nothing is said. Third round, we completely destroy the other team (were in our 'groove' now if you wanna call it that). During this round, BAM, one quits. A little bit longer, another quits. By the time the fourth round rolls along, there down to just the host, and that's if the host doesn't quit first.
Now in the same scenario, a lot of the time the host will quit after just ONE round loss because he/she knows their gonna get smashed the rest of the game, so they quit and ruins it for everyone (the worst is when they remake the EXACT same game right after they quit, showing that their just big panzy's and can't take getting ripped).
The other thing that annoys us is when the host will down you, and then rape you while you're downed. Seriously WTF is that, it takes absolutly NO skill to down/kill someone when you are the host, like ZERO. Lancer downs in like a quarter clip, shotty is a one shot, you can't stun them with melee's half the time (so no two-peicing), they take soooo much damage, the list goes on. So when they down you and act like they have just completely dominated you, it makes me very angry. The absolute worst is when the host downs you with an active sniper shot, because there not good enough to get a headshot, THEN proceed to rape you on the ground.
The real question for me is, why do people quit? Why not go against people who are good and a challenge, therefore making you play better, therefore making it all the better when you turn the game around and win. Me and my friends actually look for people to beat us, we try to find players that are good and even if we loose, we don't care because we have had a good game against good players.
