Gears of War online. what?

okay so all of a sudden i've wanted to play shooters online and stuff just to get into the things that all 360 users seem to love. and let me tell you, the first couple hours were a blast. awesome people to talk to and not to mention helpful with your technique, but bottom line is, i blow at this **** and to be honest, i really don't care that much. i'm having fun. and that's what the game should be about.

however...

now it just seems like it's nothing but ignorant **** that just like to down talk you because you're not as good as everyone else. i just started this game. give me a break! i'm not a big fan of shooters, i haven't even played that many shooters in my time of being a gamer. so i'm just curious if EVERY shooter or EVERY multiplayer online game is like this? i really wish there were more cool people like i experienced at the beginning rather than 12 year olds arguing over who is better because they can shoot a lot of bulky avatars.

yeah people are pretty much pricks no matter what game your in online, try COD4 though in my experience thats where you get the least *******s

unless you play tactical or hardcore

oh and avoid halo3 pretty much just 10 year olds with no life who think they are awesome (not a crack at the game)

Yeah, I just bought Gears of War last week, and it is pretty infuriating. Veteran player have to realize that whenever they're playing a new player, they have two years of experience over the new person. I really suck at Gears, but I'm getting margianally better all the time. I'm really surprised by how few people talk though, people rarely have/use their mics, so it's kind of nice because even though they might think I suck, they don't express it. I did get a message from some douchebag the other day saying how much I suck at Gears, but I got over it.resident-shell

yeah same here man. i feel bad though cause i was just trying to help this dude in co-op and i suck so bad i kept failing the mission for him. :[ oh well i guess in time i'll just get better.

Don't judge the entire community like that it's not all bad. I also just got back to the game after getting the refresh copy and i'm generally good, add me on xbox live and we could do some player matches togeather and i may be able to help you on co-op as well. Give it time and you'll see just a big list with some numbers will make any 12 year old crazy. But stick with the game gears of war 2 is gonna fix all cheap tactic maneouvers and host bullet lag issues.DivinitySkate
