I don't reserve my games anymore, since they'll always be in stock.

That's true but stores give many offers
I've preordered Madden with 10 dollars back, 5 dollars of free MP3's and launch day delivery free, I preordered Halo ODST with ten dollars back, 5 dollars of MP3's free and launch day delivery free, and Modern Warfare 2 with 10 dollars back, 5 bucks of the MP3's, and launch day delivery free.
Stores want your business for preorders and are very willing to make it worth your while
For preordering 3 games I get 30 dollars back and 15 dollars worth of songs and get each one on the doorstep launch day
The power is in the consumer's hands

Yeah but I believe if you're not a prime member you have to pay extra for Release Day delivery.Fellow Amazon Prime member?Doomtime

80 bucks a year for free 2 day delivery on pretty much anything and free release day delivery on the most popular games.

That's not to bad. I will have to look into this. Thanks for the heads up.
I'll be reserving Dragon Age: Origins Collector's Edition and Mass Effect 2(most likely Collector's Edition) this Friday when I pick up my reserve copy of Madden 2010.:D Those are the only reserves I can afford. If I could reserve something else, it would be Borderlands.
EDIT: Actually, add Borderlands to that list. The Dragon Age delay let's me get enough money for both!:D
The only game I've ever reserved is Gears of War 2 and I odn't plan on doign the same for any other game. I always manage to get my hands on whatever game I want so it's not really necessary. I even managed to get GTA IV on release day. I had to go to three different stores but I got it.

No problem. The service is excellent.I was planning on reserving Brutal Legend but after I saw that all you get is an in-game guitar I passed. When will they learn that people want REAL WORLD things to reserve games? If they offered a t-shirt or even a keychain I would have reserved it.
Moder Warfare 2
Batman
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2
Dragon Age
Brutal Legends
Final Fantasy XIII
Splinter Cell
Champions Online
Bioshock 2
Uncharted 2
I think I have a few more I just don't remember. Looking forword to the start of this line up.
im just preordering all these games because of their special offers you get if you do
S3XYT1M3
That's why I preorder. I love getting those special offers:)
I have 3 EB's near me, the longest is like 20 minutes. So I ndon't reserve games cause it's likely atleast one will have it. Though if I were to reserve one I would reserve the Collectors Edition of Batman Arkham Asylum.
well i thought most people reserved triple A titals but i understand i mean there isnt going to be a shortage but i dont to be in thosemidnightlines like for halo 3 and gta 4 so i can just walk in and pick it up
spetnaz14
The only game I did the midnight time was for GTA 4 at a shop near mine. I don't think I would ever do a midnight buying again. So from now on if i pre order I pick it up during following day
Dragon Age CE, Alpha Protocol
Probably wont Pre order anything else, there is no need to.
MW2 will ship millions of copies in the first month, everystore will have dozens in stock and never run out except maybe in launch week. still an insanely easy title to pick up for the Holidays.
I want the CE for Dragon Age so I have to pre order it, And Alpha Protocal might be one of those hidden gems that becomes harder to find, so im pre ordering it.
I reserved Halo 3 ODST & Modern Warfare 2 nhlkiller+1 Other games dont need a preorder, theyll have enough copies for everyone

It's not about running out, games don't sell out anymore
It's about how much you can get for preordering
If you don't get anything extra then it's useless to preorder
