First of all, make sure you want it.

You can most likely get a 48 hour trial with most any Live-enabled game.

If you already know you want it, then get a 12 Month package that comes with a headset or some free arcade games.

As far as where you get it, it's going to cost the same most places. Maybe 12 cents cheaper at Wal Mart. But regardless, get the Live kit with some bonus stuff. Get your money's worth.

Have fun!

You can buy subscription cards almost anywhere that has video games. You save a little bit of money if you buy the longer subscription.

1 month 7.99

3 month 19.99

12 + 1 month 49.99

For instance, I got this:

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8003144&st=xbox+live&lp=2&type=product&cp=1&id=1155072369586

But you can also get other more expensive deal packages, such as this:

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=999973900050002&st=xbox+live&lp=10&type=product&cp=1&id=pcmprd73800050002

At least get this:

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=7530246&st=xbox+live&lp=3&type=product&cp=1&id=1127507946517

Basically, you get an extra month if you get the card & punch in the code versus subscribing on the LIVE dashboard.

Hope this was helpful

I have the wireless adapter and have had no problems with it. The initial setup was a little annoying cause I had to mess with the settings on my wireless router to get it to connect. As for a harddrive you don't have to have it but if you only have a memory card you won't be able to get much DLC

I had NO problem getting my wireless adapter set up. Just make sure it's compatible with your Wireless Network (which is most likely is).

And change a setting in your network connection to "wireless". Not sure what it's called, but it's easy. =]
