So you are fine with the action of killing something, but you don't want to see the effect? If you shoot someone close range with a shotgun, chunks are gonna fly off. That is just reality. Yea, it is pretty gross, but that is what happens.

I feel that the gore in WaW is unecessary. I don't like it. I feel it's insulting or otherwise dishonorable to the people who were actually in wars. I'd much rather a vet see me playing COD4 than WaW, just because of the gore.

Make fun of me all you want, gibbing people in a war game that depicts actual events is disgraceful IMO. There's nothing you can say to make that point invalid.

If you can't stand the horrors of war don't play a war game. I'm glad that they added the gore to this game, even if it still isn't realistic enough. Adding gore and dismemberment to war games helps to convey how horrible combat can be and teach that war is indeed a terrible thing. In other games you can unload into something and it dies, that's not realistic and to the mentally unstable it shows them that there are no consequences to voilence. Now if only they could make the gore uber-realistic, the PTRS-41 would be blowing people in half and tank rounds would leave nothing behind except redmist amongst the shrapnel.

Oh and just to be perfectly clear, it's not like i don't like gore. I play gears 2, Fallout 3, and Resident Evil 4/5 all the time and have no problem with it. I guess it's just because it WASN'T done for realism in Waw, it was done to look 'cool'. In my opinion, it all comes down to how much respect you have for the soldiers who actually had to go through that.

I agree do you think all the sodiers on both sides wanted to be remembered by blowing limbs off. Many gave there lives in WW2. I meen realy it wasnt in any of the previouse CoD games. Look at the videos. One depiction isnt even modest. He shoots Both legs off with one shot. Vets are treated like ragdolls in this game

oh come on. all these 'girly' comments are getting on my nerves. its a game invented to be enjoyed, not found fault upon. so if you don't like it. well done. thats difference of oppinion. i understand that you can say what you want with freedom of speach and all but the game and the console were invented for the fun of playing them. stop moaning pleaseJUV3N1L3

And we're not 'girly' thank you very much, If you had fully read any of the previous comments you would know why certain people are saying that gore doesn't belong in WaW. I myself said that i'm a fan of gore in most videogames, and that i play Gears 2, Fallout 3, and Resident Evil 4 and 5 all the time. It's not the gore that bothers me, it's the fact that the game uses it not for realism, but just to look 'cool'. The vets who were actually in that war would certainly see soldiers getting blown to pieces to look cool to be offensive. Read the other posts, it's all explained.

I'm kinda pissed at no dismember in Modern Warfare 2.

Explain how it's insulting to veterans when they saw worse things when they were fighting the war, and that almost none of the soldiers look like any veteran and are meant to be red shirts? Also, explain how it insults veterans when they are a bunch of 0's and 1's and are not people dressing up to impersonate a veteran.

Sorry, but tears-run-red pretty much invalidated it quite nicely. Killing people = okay, as long as the animations aren't gruesome? Sorry, but thats some weird standards you have there.

burning a *** out of a tree wouldnt be the same without the gore...it should stay...its part of reality...there is no. "gore option" in real war so..

It sounds like some of you play games just because you can Blow body parts off of people. The reason I made this post was to make sure the vid was real. Ive seen a lot of fake things on you tube. Ive played this game before but neverrealized how bloody it gets. And Ive seen more than one coment on hear that said "Oh so itsn okay to shoot people as long as they dont fall apart. For me thats how VIdeogames work. I just dont plan on getting this. I think Ill get the mappack for CoD 4 and save up for modern 2. It doesnt look like the game for me. I could take it in science fiction but not reall wars or wars that could be real.
