GOW 2 same as first?

Does anybody think thats Gears of War 2 will be exactly the same gameplay as Gears 1 but with 4 new curb stomp animations and a mash the "B" button mini game for chainsaw duels.

I will probably not even buy it unless they show me something really cool.

no they have new weapons,curbstomps,chainsaw stuff, nd when you are hurt you move slower.

its a SEQUAL! the whole reason I want it is that the first ones gameplay was so good

You know Im starting to really think that Gears 2 should get a 10. I mean, you say its the same as the first, but its a sequel. Let me ask you, did you like GTAIV, isnt that a sequel. It is good but it took out some stuff from San Andreas that made it fun. Yet it still got a 10. Gears 2 is a sequel, and it is nothing like the first. The similaraties that I have noticed so far are the cover system(Gears 1 revolutionized this), the active reload(who thought it up) roadie run, freandae tagging and thats it. And if you say it looks like the first one, its a compliment because Gears 1 was a success and so will this.

Actually GOW2 is going to have a bit of a storyline this time around...You are going to find out who Dom has been searching for and there are going to be items for you to collect that relates to the different tasks that you have to do...that if what my understanding is from watching the interview that Cliffy B gave.

I mean GOW 1 was sweet for me because it was refreshing to get a third person shooter instead of all the first person games, but now the only reason ill play it is for the story which seems to sound more dramatic this time around.

I've also seen all the multiplayer GOW 2 stuff and it looks alright and I saw the last Gametrailers TV which kinda changed my mind about it but it still not that interested.

They'll be like sequels? Seriously people what do you expect them to do? Ok instead of fighting Locusts terrorists come out and you have to kill them.

you know what else,,now you can stick grenades to ANYWHERE and detonate them on command,,adding atleast some more strategy.To me, this game looks like its coming along quite nicely.DarkMagic27
