Im not a hater, if someones good, i admit they're good - i just want to clear that up :P

Im pretty good on GoW2 and had been playing off host warzone all day yesterday getting score of like 8-4, 7-3... then one game i was host (had no bullet lag) and i looked amazing, i survived unbelievable stuff, and like 1 shot shotguned people soo many times, getting a score of like 13-1. My connecction isnt bad. I just believe the host gets a MASSIVE advantage, which is unfair. Other games such as halo, and cod, host doent get that much of an advantage but on gow games, it takes the mick...

For some odd reason the gears of war games have odd host advantage. It is weird.I could have sworn that they said they were going to fix ALL of the problems from the first.

Epic's solution to host advantage = Massive lag for all players, including host. If everyone is lagging, then no one can complain about host advantages. Problem solved.

The more you play a game the more you notice it. Some do seem worse than others though. Its not just the host, but peoples ping times to the host.

COD4 is a good example. I am from the UK and I can tell if the host is local (somewhere in the uk) or an american host. I'll go online at about 9pm and win every free for all game that I play up until about 11pm when there other English guys start to go to bed and the room fills with more and more american people, i'll then start finish games somewhere in the middle of the scoring.

Its still perfectly playable and fun, but it is a bit annoying knowing that you are playing with a handicap. Games that require slightly more tactical gameplay, and knowledge of the maps are a bit better than games that are all about speed and fast reactions.

It doesn't really matter how fast your reactions are when you have a high ping.

I much rather people abbreviate Gears of war be as GeoW since God of war came first but then again God of war isnt on the 360. Back to the point.

You right about the host having a huge advantage. Because your the host everything is done on your Xbox 360 and sent to the others. Your Xbox 360 calculates physics and sends that data to everyone else, those few milliseconds means life and death in a chainsaw duel. Also because they lag they dont see you when you see them meaning you usually get a huge upper hand since a fifth of a second is on average how long you react and how long it takes for someone living in a different country to see you pop out of the corner. I'm fairly certain that this happens as well in Halo 3 since but not as much as every weapon isnt as life threatening as it is on Gears.
