If you check out the GTA 4 in gamespot, You would have noticed the user votes rated the game as 8.6 do you think it is a worrying sign that gta 4 will not get a 9.0 or higher rating especially since it is a anticipated game for this year?
of he 7 user votes, 5 rated it perferct, 1 super, and 1 abysmal. those votes are not reliable. pay no attention to user votes until the game actually comes out.
Most people hate GTA IV???? Where did you get that from ? Rockstar haven't given much away at all in the grand scheme of things. As someone whose can still remember the first birds-eye I cannot wait for GTA IV to come out. Only 7 days to go!!!! Yee-hah. I wish all people who rate games before release an early transmission failure in the middle of nowhere
with so few votes any result is unreliable. A month after release several thousand people will have rated the game, and then you will have a good idea of what people really think.
You will still get a few jokers who rate it abysmal and probably never play it, but that happens with any game.
There should be a rule or something to prevent users from rating games they dont own or never played. Sometimes, users will play a demo and come and rate a game really terrible or great, despite not ever playing the full game. In order for users to rate a game, they should have them enter a UPC code or it has to be on their gamercard or something of that nature. This way, user scores will be more accurate than it is now. It is very difficult for me to rely on user scores because some of it is random, and unprofessional ratings and/or reviews. Best way is to try the demo, rent, or take a chance as well as go with your gut feeling on games. I'm usually spot on when it comes to the games I buy. I haven't been disappointed yet.
