GTA 5 is in VIce City

GTA 5 was announced today, as i saw it on N4G.com. It is set for 10-19-10 (October 10, 2010). It's most likely true, but it may not. Who knows? I think its real.

all GTA games was in the same city just different time periods. Vice city was the 80's, SA was the 90's, and IV was today time.

If it is coming out this soon... must mean it is on the same engine as GTA4... otherwise it would have been another 4 and a half years for them to develope the engine and then make the game on it like...

I hope it's true because I loved vice city! I would love to go back to it on a next gen console.

GTA VC: Was Miami
GTA SA, was the combo of state's Cali and Nevada

I really do not care where the next GTA takes place just aslong as it is not a gang-related type game then that would be cool with me. I think that gang-related type games are boring and stupid. What would be cool is a GTA game that you play as a cop(detective) and not like the other GTA game were you were a undercover cop.

GTA, honeslty start being more orginal, unless they amp up the game actually make it fun I don't even care where it takes place. They either gotta go full on arcadie, or realistic. I would perfer a hitman/gta/splintercell hybrid.

Anyway the next game shouldn't be in the US. London, is now the world capital, should take place there.

GTA 5 is not what the game is called TC, the game is called "GTA Vice City: Stories", which is why people are getting confused...

GTA III = Liberty City

GTA IV = Liberty City

GTA V = Vice City ???....NO,NO,NO after the make an installment to the actual series they then make a spinoff, i.e- "Vice City Stories", which is what the TC is refering to.

Is anyone else not buying this game? I am tired of wasting $60 on the same %hit over and over again. This will be the first GTA ever that I wont buy. And that's including the first 2 on CPU too.bcjkdem

fake, they already announced there are atleast 1 or 2 more DLC being made for GTAIV before GTAV is even thought about.

GTA 5 is in australia it was shown on IGN not too long ago, so sydney is probably the starting point with the whole continent able to be explored

I'm pretty sure the guy who keeps saying that they are all set in liberty city thinks that the country is called Liberty City. All the games are set in America but all in seperate cities. Like someone said before, GTA III and IV are set in Liberty City, Vice City is obvisously set in Vice City and San Andreas is set in San Andreas. All completely different fictional cities set in different parts of the US. That is why they make references to the other cities in all of the GTA games.

Well there are only so many settings you can make a game take place in... what do you want? GTA: Subburbs? You get missions to take groups of kids to soccer practice? The GTA series is based around crime sydicates... how many Mafia members do you know live in the heartlands of upper Kansas? Or in the Jungles of Africa... oh yeah... none... There are big cities... that's about it...

And it is not like they are taking GTA: Vice City's local... look at GTA3 and GTA4... both are Liberty city, but do the cities look anything alike? It was completely redone... if GTA5 is really in Vice City, it will be the same situation...
