I think Gamespot was pressured into giving the game a 10 because every other site was, and with all the criticism Gamespot has been recieving lately they couldn't afford a bad image. I haven't played the game, but I find it very hard to imagine this game recieving a 10 after hearing all of the negatives about it. The cars are said to be hard to drive, the new tidbits don't add to the gameplay, the graphics are glitchy, the new system to avoid police is anticlimatic, and friendly AI is bad. Gamespot even mentions this in their review. How could they mention all of this and still give it a 10?
I brought it today, having not liked any other entry in the series much due to extreme difficulty, omnipotent cops and the worst shooter model ever and I have to say it is THE best GTA. It thoroughly deserves that 10/10.F4ll3n_1
Exactly, they need to roll back that review score & issue an apology. Say something like, "Our bad! We forgot to take into account these factors: ..." and drop it down to a 9.6 or so something.

go to a site called gamerankings.com and it will give you every rating and the average of every site.
