GTA vs. SR

i reall reall really liked the GTA series, but Saints Row 2 co op was the most fun i have ever had with a game hands down. If they both came out in the same month i would get them both but Saints for me its hilarious

I'll go with GTA but also I'm a fan of the SR series. To me it's like Fifa vs Fifa Street. One stays close to a real life crime sim (GTA) and then you have SR, the real life crime arcade sim.

I miss the crazy fun of San Andreas. I think Saints Row 3 will be fun mostly because it doesn't take itself too seriously.

Saints Row is just goofy fun as one guy said. GTA is a much better game. I did love the first SR though.

For me, GTA San Andreas is & will always be a masterpiece in gaming. I also liked GTA The Ballad of Gay Tony, but i did'nt like GTA IV.

I really liked Saints Row 2, i'm looking forward to the next one.

Both franchises are cool, i hope they both continue to be successful.:)

I've played all of the GTA games and recently picked up the Saints Row Double Pack. As of now I'm almost done with Saints Row 1 ( I only have The Carnales missions left ) but let me just say that it's a very fun game. I love that you have a lot of clothes to pick from and how you can wear up to 3 things at the same time ( Under shirt/over shirt/jacket) or how ever you choose to mix them up. The Story Line is really nice and keeps you coming back for more.

Let me just say that I was highly disappointed with GTA 4. The Graphics and game play are amazing but it gets boring! Yes i quit play GTA 4 and I was almost done. The Story line is pretty good but something that it lacks is ways to spend your hard earned money. There is barely any clothing shops and they all have the same stuff. You can't buy properties, cars, or anything. All you can really spend your money on is on weapons. So i'm just a rich bastard with nothing to spend my money on. Also I hate the fact that there isn't any gangs or mafia members walking around in certain parts of the city. It's just civilians everywhere so basically you have nothing to do But To do the missions.

GTA SanAndreas was pretty much the Best GTA game Overall in my opinion. I haven't played Saints Row 2 yet but i will probably next week if I can finish saints row 1 over the weekend. Two Great games really. I would suggest that you guys play both titles.

Saints Row3 is going to sell ok, just because it wont have a GTA game to compete with directly. It will probably be a fun game, but it looks a little over the top. I have a hard time saying which series I like more. but I can say I like GTA San Andreas better than every other GTA or SR game. but SR2 is almost as much fun. I sure hope GTA V has more vehicles and fewer annoying phone calls and text messages.

Prefer GTA but seemed to take itself too seriously in GTA4. SR seems to understand that its all just for fun and I like how outlandish it is.

Saints Row

Saints Row...

GTA doesn't release game enough to be considered one of my favorites. They spend too much time, IMO, of making add on content/expansions instead of coming up with a new game idea. While I do like the games, I don't like my series' to be split up 2-3 years between each game - with that much time people are likely to move away from your game (let's face it, we get bored with games) and find something similar or whatever to enjoy.

What i really liked about GTA 4 is how good the story is.

but i think that the over teh topness of SRTT will be awesome.

But the SR series has some fun elements.

I'm a GTA man through and through, played the demo of the first saints row and it was just terrible, hated the ridicoulesness, and the gang-banger way everyone talked and acted.

I really like the classic GTA games, San Andreas and Vice city, but as many people have said GTA4 takes itself too seriously, yea the story is good, but most people play sandbox games to mess around with and do things that they cant IRL.

The SR series brought the fun of GTA SA/VC and put some chilli in it. Thats why i prefer SR

Saints row 2 is fun but a bit of a cheap knock off of the GTA series. Never played the first one.

Personally, I thought GTA 4 and the dlc was a masterpiece and one of the best games I have ever played.

SR the Third does look like a blast tho and I will get it but more interested in when GTA 5 is coming out.

I find the GTA games boring (aside from san andreas) And I find the SR games way more fun than the GTA games *cough* GTA IV *cough*

I've played both, but I still perfer GTA.
