hey all,

I just bought this game off of ebay. I got it today and I noticed a nice cut in a in ring right in the middle of the disc....you know the thing that happens when people move their console while the game is playing.

Anyway I am nervous that this damage will mess up some of the songs........so I am still in the warranty period right now, so I need to check it out quickly so if there is anythign wrong I can send it back....

So the quickest and easiest way is to put in the cheat and play a few of the songs that are farther along on the disc.

I looked at the cheats and this is the one I think i need NTSC: Unlock All Songs
Guitar Hero 2 cheat code: Blue, Yellow, Orange, Red, Orange, Yellow, Red, Yellow, Red, Yellow, Red, Yellow, Red, Yellow, Red, Yellow

How and where to I put this code in.....do I need to strum? do I put in 2 notes rest then 2 more?

thanks guys

For GH2, at least on the PS2 (I'm pretty sure it's no different for the 360.) you go to the main menu screen and just hit each of the buttons in sequential order. No chords, no strumming, just hit the fret buttons once, then the next, then the next, until the code is finished. You should get a confirmation on screen that you entered the code correctly.

In GH3, it's a different story, that actually has a cheat code input interface, and actually does require strumming, with chords. Since you've got GH2 you won't have to worry about this. Just hit each button that it tells you to.

One other thing: Make sure you don't have the guitar tilted when you are entering the codes. For some reason the tilt sensor in the guitar can mess up the code entry.

Edit: By main menu screen, since this may be confused with the "Press any button to start" screen, it's the screen that says "Career", "Quick Play", "Multiplayer", etc..

I have never gotten them to work, some people say you need to hit every button really quickly others say take it a bit slow. I don;t think what guitar you use matters but I can understand your frustration with the codes as I, like previously stated, have never gotten them to work. =\
