lol I just realized that for like the past 4 months I got free XBL. I had it as a monthly plan with my credit card and my card was recently canceled and I it thought it was charging me monthly so i kept getting live until.... THE DAMN UPDATE!!!! Thanks to the update MS Noticed it and now b4 I can use my gamercard again I need to pay an outstanding fee :( I R SAD!
How exactly did ytou cheat MS you have been caught and have to pay the outstanding fee to get back on ... hardly criminal master mind of the year there fella :)
dont they just charge u every month witht the monthly plan? cos some people complain about having the year plan then at the end of the year getting charged for another year with out notification, i think that u just havnt reliased it
Reminds me of my friend who cancelled his broadband internet service, and got 8 months of service eventhough no charges appeared on his credit card -_-.
Reminds of back when i lived in this one apartment, about a year had free cable. Moved in, it was still active. Wasnt till a year later, month before going to move out, that it was cancelled. Never saw one bill as I never requested it. :D
i wouldn't pay the fee.. it's not your fault they were stupid and didn't cancel you. that's BS

Actually if you are set on auto-renewal it is your responsability to cancel your account or update yuour informations.
NOw if he did not ask for the service that is different .
Regarding the creating a new account they might ceck the e-mail and may be the name on the account if i were you i would just buy a frikking year subscription and pay for the service you are using...there you go
I don't really think that you cheated them. I'm sure when you go back to renew your XBL they are jsut going to charge you for the 4 months that they tried to charge to your canceled credit card.

reminds me of me mate,he thought the same in a way ,canceled his bank account, closed it down left the bank. thought he have some fun since his card still worked and what the bank did was when he started using his card again they opened his bank account again and started racking the debt back up. and he went crazy buying cigs and booze and getting cash back thinking it was all free, was proper laffing when he told me he had a £500 overdraft to pay haha

1. it doesnt matter whether or not he cancelled his account, he was still recieving a service without paying for it (technically theft)....he shud hav reported it to microsoft wen he knew that he was getting it for free
2. It dont matter if he makes a new account or not, microsoft still got his name and address, so unless he changes his name and moves house then he'll still have to pay the fine.
3. If he doesnt pay the fine then it'll just get worse for him and microsoft would probably try and sue him

Im glad they are charging you an outstanding fee and not letting you off the hook (no offence) it is only fair for those of us who do pay for the product
