Oy, that reminds me of people who dislike Max Payne after playing it only on the PS2. It's best not to judge a game by the lowest quality version available.
Technical issues were not my problem with the game. I just thought the pacing was off. There were times when I was just plain bored.
Like when the xbox took 10 minutes to load the next 5 minutes of gameplay. Xbox version sucked PERIOD.
Not what I meant. I'm a console gamer ridiculous long loading times are nothing new or jarring to me.My biggest quibble was the actual pace of the game.When you get into a Boat or that Go Kart the driving just goes on and on and on (I was reminded of Wind Waker, Christ almighty I never want to see another ocean in a video game ever-again). I understand Valve is trying to create a real world but man, there times when your just walking or driving for just to long without being able to shoot something. There are ways to immerse a player into the video game world without making it tedious.
I'm not going to mention anything else, I should know better than to talk too much about how I don't like certain franchises (Say anything bad or constructive about Half Life, Metal Gear, GTA, Halo, or anything Nintendo and most people will want you thrown under a bus...I actually think I see the bus coming it has the Word's "flame Giff" written on it.)
No I am not going to flame you for having an opinion. I kind of agree with you actually. Those parts were probably to long. I absolutely love the hl series but yes those parts could have been shorter. However hl and hl2e1 had more action so if thats that part that bugged you give one of those a shot. Everything is overrated to somebody.
