I got an xbox 360 around Christmas. Everybody was playing Halo so thats what i got. Now all of my friends are switching to COD. First off, Why. Second, which one do you think is better?
i dont know your friends so i cant answer that first question. as for the other, it really just depends on your taste, do you wanna run around and drive vehicles? then choose halo, wanna shoot real guns in the middle east? choose CoD4
I seen a topic going around like this, it wasn't too long ago let me think...yesterday lol. I prefare Call of Duty 4 because it's multiplayer is brilliant, i cant really judge because I haven't played Halo 3 yet hich is such a shame since I like Halo 1 & 2 alot, but its all because of those fan boys!
They are both great games at what they do. Halo is a great arcade-y, sci-fi FPS and CoD 4 is a great (more) realistic, modern warfare FPS. Which one is "better" is just a matter of personal preference.
I think halo 3 is better, I play it all the time with my friends still. I don't think CoD4 is that great, its basically whoever sees who first is the dead one. Where in halo 3 you at least have a chance to live if your good at the game. Halo 3 is a great game. That isn't to say you'd be wrong choosing CoD4, both games are good. Halo 3 is just... better.
COD4 is a great game but i prefer halo 3 more, mostly because of the multiplayer, and by that i mean split screen co-op, online co-op (up to 4 people), and online splitscreen
Well call of duty in my opinion is fun,has great ways to edit your guns and amazing graphics and doesn't have as many screaming high pitch 10 year olds on it
and halo in my opinion isn't fun it doesn't have amazing graphics and it has tons of annoying little dumb-asses on it

I don't think anyone is going to come and agree with each other.
Its all about taste really.Try both and work it out for yourself! its much funner that way.
i have never played COD4 before but if your friends are all starting to play it, and the mass of players it has all suggest to me it must be doing something right.
halo 3 is too arcadey for my tastes. I hit level 45 then quit, it was getting a bit boring. COD4 is a nice refreshment. It's a good mix of tactical shooter and run and gun, all in one game. Of course, there's nothing like a good 4 player terrorist hunt on Rainbow Six Vegas.

I have Halo 3, but not COD4, but as i said think for yourself cause if you dont, you could end up wasting your cash on crap that your friends like, and you find yourself buying pointless videogames that you only bought simply because your friends went and bought it, catch my drift?
For example, I bought Clive Barker's Jericho for a few reasons: I love Clive Barker, I love Horror/Gore in my games and also cause it was something no one was going crazy about i.e. Halo3 and COD4

In my opinion, COD4 is the better game, both offline and online. However, the single player campaign of COD4 won't last you as long as Halo 3's. Still it has more replayability due to its stellar multiplayer.

Right. These threads are about as frequent as the XBL vs PSN, or XBL should be free topics. If they weren't important, then they wouldn't come up all the time. Some people don't check these forums every half hour like some of you.
If they're not stickied and don't appear on the first couple pages, I see it as fair game.
