Halo 3 Changes: First and Final Master Chief Models. Both look AMAZING!

Before I go into this, I must make it clear that This is a no graphics bashing thread. Both Models look great and this is just to show the changes that Bungie has done to Master Chief.

I think that the first one looks a lot better, however, I believe that the armor will still make an appearance in the game. Perhaps in the beginning of the game you wear the same suit you wore in Halo 2 (looks a lot like the one in the 2nd pic) and then when you get to the desert levels, you get to change your suit. Or then again, Bungie could just just half-a$$ the game and get a marine in the beginning of the game say "Your new suit is a Mark VII even though it looks practically the same and doesn't have anything new added to it unlike the jump from Halo where your Mark V suit looked like a tank and didn't recharge your health to the cooler Mark VI suit in Halo 2."

IN my opinion, I like the greener look:)

they will prolly put some random ass soldier in the middle of the forest and ask u to look all around

"hey look at that branch" "now this one" .... "ok cheif, youre good to go"

The second one looks terrible in comparison. Lower resolution texture (shrunken UVs on the mapping), UV distortion, and lower poly topologgy coupled with an uglier normal map. and the reflection (environment map) doesnt mean anything, the first one had one too, it just had nothing to reflect back because it wasn't in the game world.

I think the second pic was better and I'm not bashing the graphics, but yeah it will have good graphics compared to last gen, but not compared to this gen especially with games out/coming out like Gears, Oblivion, Rainbow 6, Mass Effect, Bioshock, Blacksite, and Assassins Creed. It will have good graphics they just wont be quite up to par with this gen.

Can't live with the fact? Halo is seriously over hyped/over rated by some people. I'm not saying it's a bad game but people make it seem a lot better than it actually is, and no where near one of the best games ever like some people say.

ya niether do i, the model of the chief is exactly the same one from the e306 trailer, the only thing thats different is the texture. and last time i checked MC isn't a sandy coloured concrete man.

I hope that you're being sarcastic, he makes a valid point and one that I totally agree with. Halo is good, but it's really nothing special.

Halo 3 is probably going to be a good game, but it really doesn't look all that innovative. IMO there's nothing astounding about H3 that no other game has acomplished yet or anything. I don't understand why there is so much hype behind it.

yea they played it safe really. And made a game that has nothing very special and new to offer. Doesnt take away from the fact that it will most likely be a solid gaming experience still. I will probably end up buying it but i wont be standing in line or preordering.
