Halo 3: Do you like it? And to what degree?

It seems that everybody either loves it, or hates it. I'm just trying to get the numbers.:)mechworrior762

It's a great closing to the trilogy but no the best in series.

PS - I am HUGE MechWarrior fan, glad to know that there are still some around. =D

You and anyone else who says Halo 3 is horrible and/or overrated are just the type of people who either A.) Don't like shooters, or B.) Feel they have to be different... Is Halo 3 the greatest game ever, by all means NO, but it is a great game, and DOES disserve the 9.5 it got here... Halo 3 certainly ISN'T Halo2.25... It has much improved graphics, a new story line, and drastically changed gameplay (Different button layout and everything), and tons of new features, like forge or theatre... So how the hell is it Halo 2.25?.........

Loki: Although I haven't played YET (that will soon change) from what I have seen in the video review, and all the other videos, as well as feedback from friends, I think I have enough information to agree with A and B.

I liked halo 3....I thought it was excellent...but I also thought it was to short for me :(

And its funner with friends or family.....

I play the HALO games almost exclusively for the single player. The MP in 3 is just an added bonus. I don't understand why people buy the game just for the MP.

The Mp is the bread and butter of the series. The made the MP first and later they worked on the campaign so go figure.

I guess the story isn't flushed out enough for me, I didn't feel for any of the characters, I wouldn't have cared if the master chief was replaced by Steven segal. The feel of it was very plastic, the killing was no fun for me. I'm not a big fan of colorful aliens and purple blood, and squeeking midgets. Had it been human faction vs human factions with more spartans, I'd probably be singing a diffrent tune. Only thing that was epic imo was the music.

Agreed. Human Spartans vs. Human Colonial rebels would be much more interesting. That's the war the spartans were designed to fight anyway.

that would suck cos you'd no longer be the underdog, just some harda$$. Its always better for the story to be an "against all odds" kind of affair.

^^Yes. It is. Almost all other FPSs out there miss that. They just can't get it right. HALO hits it all the way. That, among countless other things, is what sets it apart from the general rable of the others FPSs.

Precisely! For example, I didn't find Crysis epic when I played the demo. I don't know if I'm supposed to. Blowing up things is delightful. And I mustn't forget the staggering graphics. Nevertheless, I didn't find it epic.

Remember that we're talking about the demo.
