Halo 3 is TRASH

Yea, Halo 3 sucks and theres 400,000+ People playing it online right now. Guess that many people got suckered into a crappy game?

I don't get why people say this game sucks, the multiplayer ALONE is > 90% of 360 games out...

COD4's Single player capaign really has no purpose, but the game is awesome because of the multiplayer? Understood...

Halo 3's single player is decent at its LEAST, and the multiplayer is awesome... but the game sucks?

Most games aren't really created for the Single player anymore, I mean people talk about Halo 3 being overrated, look at RSV2.. Seriously...

i dont mean to be, well... mean but your thread topic is kind of saying otherwise. it seems like your bashing the game but really ur praising it and stating what others say, but ppl might get the impression that your saying it suckscharomid

that's the whole point, the thread name is an attention getter... with all the threads that are made daily I wanted just a few opinions

the multiplayer is only good because so many play it and that's because of it's name-----halo 3. yes, it is still halo with better visuals but that's about it. not much has changed and ppl were expecting something revolutionary or something close to that, but it isn't, its just a generic shooter. single player was laughableMaddenBowler10

Samething happened with R6V:2 people overhyped it and were disappointed. I knew Halo 3 wasn't going to be "revolutionary" i expected the same kinda gameplay with just extra features. I completely loved it because i never expected that much of a change with it.

yah but cmon, u gotta admit u were pretty excited for it to come out and were hoping for a really great game since it was the original xbox's top game. it's not the top on the 360 thats for sure. does'nt matter how many ppl r playing.

To me it was a great game i bought SSBB and that didn't really change that much either. I know it's not the greatest game ever or anything like that. It's still loads of fun with friends and the features that were added are great. I didn't have an Xbox 360 when it released so i wasn't really too excited about it.

I was VERY disappointed with the campaign. And, honestly, after playing the MP for a couple months it got pretty old fast. Gears and CoD4 MP & Campaign >>> Halo 3's

Halo 1 was the peak in terms of single player in my opinion, however Halo 3 multiplayer has been the best yet.

Halo 3's single player could have been better i suppose, it wasnt poor, its just rare for a sequal to grip you with an epic single player experience like many first games in a franchise do, maybe i expected too much from halo 3, but i love the online, which is mainly what i bought Halo 3 for, so who cares.

Halo is AWESOME. The hate on that game is mind boggling. It like Bungie raped their mothers or something. Why it is so vilified so vehemently makes me laugh always. I can never take anyone who bashes Halo seriously.

The reason halo is played a lot because its easy to pick up and play. Its not like Rainbow, CS or Call of Duty 4. Halo is easy to pick up because you can jump and snipe someone. There is no recoil on any of the guns. Thats my reason why a lot of people play. If you understand the concepts game, you understand why people play it.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Their is no reason to dislike someone who disagree with your views upon the game.

Nah that's not it. I can never agree with someone who says Halo is the worst FPS ever or even below average. That's just stupid.

Eh, I was recently talking to a guy on Xbox live who made a great analogy of the Halo series to the Matrix trilogy. The first Matrix/Halo was mindblowing reinventing the genres and convincing people they had seen perfection. The hype for the sequels was immense, though they turned out to be extremely underwhelming. Finally the third chapter of the trilogies were released and while it was better than #2 it was still nowhere near what the original had delivered. While these sequels were decent in their own right, perhaps the shock value of the originals had worn off. Or rather, the originals were truly groundbreaking but soon the competition caught up and surpassed while the sequels remained the same, unchanged and below par.

I have a huge problem with Halo 2 and 3's multiplayer, and Halo 2's ending was as Greg Kasavin stated, "It hits you like a truck." Though, I will admit I enjoyed Halo 3's single player a huge amount, it was one of the better campaigns I had played in quite a while. This is for a multitude of reasons that I will not share due to my exaustion. However, I will say that most Halo "haters" are not haters of the franchise, merely disappointed with its direction. Though I am not too great a fan of 2 and 3, Halo: Combat Evolved will forever remain in my heart as one of the best games ever created.

CoD4's single player campaign was fantastic (if a little short)... halos was complete garbage. CoD4 multiplayer is better than halos any day of the week...

I'm pretty decent in COD4, and In no way do I think it is harder than Halo 3. COD4 doesn't take skill, you just learn how to play and launch grenades pretty much.

I can see where Tom Clancy games are more tactical, but COD4 is just as much of a run n gun game as Halo 3. Both are fun, but I'll take Halo 3 at the end of the day. Atleast most of the nades don't kill you in Halo

I was one of Halo's biggest fan when it first debuted. But IMO it feels like Halo has lost it's "X-factor" ever since part one. Halo 3: I'm not impressed by the graphics because there are better looking games. The gameplay feels like more of Halo 2. Shoot, jump, melee, repeat. They could've added some back/side flips, stacked/combined guns to make a new gun. Whatever. It should have also introduced new characters. Maybe even added a few boss fights. A monstrous hunter perhaps.

Bottom line, yes I don't think Halo 3 is great. But no I don't think it's crap.

When trying to go to Halo 3 after playing CoD4, it's like a slideshow.
