Who?!!?What!! It was said that Halo wars is in fact prequel. YOu can check online and the Gamepro arcticle on the game. They say how it takes palce before 1 when the Spartan army was first made.

I hadn't heard of this article. If it is, in fact, a prequel, then it should be interesting to see how the storyline of the game fits in the Halo universe.

The article stated that they fought the covenant before Halo 1. The story takes place before we the the person called Master Chief. It is during his begining of the UNSC. You play or control the (New) Spartan Army. Whats also intresting about the game is that Halo was originally suppose to be an RTS. ANyways it tell us the history of the war of the convenant. I don't see how it could be anything else.

i am pretty sure halo wars is based just before the fall of reach because in the trailer it shows the spartan unit and during the fall of reach all the spartans die except one.....

You haven't read the books have you? They stopped saying MC was the last Spartan after the first game because it wasn't the last spartan (and no i'm not counting Spartan IIIs... i am talking about Spartan IIs).

Sorry guys, i just don't think it's going to happen. Bungie said from the start that halo was going to be a trilogy. That means three games, then over. Halo Wars is a prequel, and its not any sort of 'halo 4' since its not even an fps. And the Peter Jackson thing- well if anything halo related is shown at e3 it will be that. But thats also not 'halo 4'

The only thing that could ever make halo 4 a reality is if a long way in the future, with the new ms console, someone at bungie decides they need money. In which case, it may be a very disappointing halo experience, Basically, i think that halo is over, but even if it ever comes back, it won't be the same as we know it now.
