Well like I have said numerous times, thats how I feel.

The sniping is broken as in it takes no skill and I mean no skill. There is no sway or recoil to any of Halo's weapons. Its point and shoot and it will hit them. I mean levels as in game exploits/glitching. How can you even get ranks out of that? Halo levels are full of exploits you can use for a "cheap advantage" over other people.

How you mention something like the sniper rifle, then say Halo has no recoil whatsoever? Besides, Halo isn't built to be 'teh realism', but there is recoil in Halo, e.g. the sniper and SMG.

Also, care to name a couple 'exploits'/glitches, or maybe one map in particular?

No I do not have those high of levels. I stated in my original post that after it starts to get more competetive, Halo does shine. If you would read the post and get the neccessary information out of it we could have a meaningful discussion about our opinions. The original topic is based on opinion so how can anyone bash for giving it?

Like I said, opinions are nice, but you're making incredibly inaccurate/false statements, so your opinion is open for bashing/discredited.

Oh, and about the tactics. Those things you mention are a handful of people that think that those "tactics" work. I agree with you that it is pretty BS sometimes in regards to the more "nooby" tactics. Saying COD has no tactics is false. It takes a lot of reflexs and awareness in order to have a good game on COD.

Relfexes and awareness do not equate to tactics. :| The closest I've ever seen to 'tactics' in MW2 is 'take the middle building' or 'take the embassy', but quickly turns hectic and ends up being every man for himself.

Even though I have been harsh on Halo, I do like the game. I also don't fault all the people who like the game, which is what I am guessing most people have though I am doing. Halo is a good game, personally I don't like the online. Thats just how I feel and I don't mean to offend.

That's fine, but it's rather strange that Halo, a game where multiplayer is where it shines, it's main selling point, and arguably the best console online shooting experience, is seen that the campaign is better than the online (what I am judging seeing that it's the only other option.)

I do it whenever someone creates a relatively large post. It makes my life easier and my post seems less awkward when I translate from point to point.

I prefer Halo 3 over MW2. In MW2 theres a lack of primary weapon balance, tactical insertions get abused to boost (although there are lots of boosters and derankers in Halo but mostly in MLG), there are one too many glitches and hackers in MW2, and joining games in progress can be frustrating when the other team has numerous killstreaks in the air.

Well, last time I played the game (granted that was quite awhile ago) thats all I see. My rankings were at like 25-30 or so in most playlists and all that I see is melee over and over. I personally find Halo's online to be the most boring and broken garbage ever. I never felt like it was fair, either myself or the person I was fighting had some sort of advantage over the other. While I say that, I don't say that MW's online is perfect. Its FAR from perfect. Spawning is pretty bad in a few levels and I find that some of the hit detection is completely broken (only sometimes though). Not to mention some of the matches that get crazy with killstreaks are not even fun. I think killstreaks ruined the onlineRekashal

I personally have had more overall enjoyment out of MW2, but your description of Halo definitely tells me that you never played it seriously or competitively in an MLG playlist. Going into a competitive playlist with three friends requires strategy and is really fun. That being said, I played pretty much only social slayer and lone wolves when I was alone.

However, I haven't even played Halo for that long, maybe 1 day played, 2 days tops. I already have 6 days into MW2. I'm kinda tired of it, but I think its the better game.

sniping takes no skill does it? so i suppose you always get headshots and never die in a snipers match right? i mean if it takes no skill...

LOL 'Its point and shoot and it will hit them" you mean like every other FPS known to man? thats generally how those games are played, you point at an enemy, shoot them and thats how you get kills...

I would also love to know these levels that are 'full of exploits' and would you care to mention some of them?

The game takes no skill does it? nice negative K/D...

You do realize that a K/D means nothing when it comes to how good someone is. What if other people play on the same account? Everyone thinks that the K/D is the be all end all of gaming.

No I haven't playing Halo to seriously, I have played MLG and what not and thats fun like I have a saidNUMEROUS times. Maybe some of you should learn to read a post before you start bashing. I am talking about Halo in general, and my opinion is not inaccurate/false as someone called it. It is an opinionthat is takenfrom personal experience playing the game.

As for telling about some glitches, I don't remember many of them (I play ps3 a lot now) but i remember one on... Valhala? I don't remember if that is the name or not, but I saw some guy up on the cliffs with a sniper. How fair is that? Playing in the higher playlists like MLG is fun. The othre playlists I think are not quite as fun.

COD has much more tactics that you give it credit. While I am not a COD fanboy, I do love it. Personally I hate MW2 (MW1 all the way). But saying it has no tactics is kidding yourself. When you get a solid team playing another solid team the games are very fun. So as you people say, play Halo competetivly and play COD competetivly, they both are way more enjoyable that way.

Modern Warfare is all about who saw who first now a days. So many exploits, so many glitches, so many noob tactics, so many over powered guns. Shadowrun, Left 4 Dead, and Call of Duty 4 are to date my favorite games online. Modern Warfare 2 puts shame to Call of Duty 4.

do you want me to list the previous MW2 glitches and see which game comes out on top? dont even try and say halo 3 had too many glitches and then stick up for MW2. and maybe you should have stopped stating your opinion as fact earlier on

Not once did I state my opinion as fact. MW2 has no level glitches that make a cheap advantage. The only glitches that the game has is glitches the developer didn't catch. I also never said that MW2 had no glitches. Again my opinion is that Halo has more glitches that can be used to gain an advantage. Hence my OPINION and I did NOT state it as fact and have not stated it as fact at all.

Not to mention I am talking about BOTH sides to the arguement. I love Halo loreand I love MW2. Is that so hard to understand? We are talking about our opinion on the games online. I have given mine and yet people still say that I have been stating it as fact? How? BeforeI say anything I put in my opinion. So tell me how in the hell I am using my opinion as fact?

Both games have faults with online. I personally have had bad experiences with Halo that has led me to not enjoy it as much as MW2. Halo can be a very fun game when you get put with good players and a good map/gametype. I feel that all around MW2 has a tighter online. Again is that me stating it as fact? No its not

Read the post before you start looking for some hidden meaning behind what someone says. Not everyone wants to argue or be a douche online. I actually like having a disscussion and using valid points. I don't apprecite having my opinions be classified as wrong or false.

MW2 vs Halo3? id say MW1 was is one of my fav. FPS's ever and now for some reason MW2 is just collecting dust (i could name evry thing i hate about that game but i wont :P). the only way i can put up with that game is if me and my bro play together. but as soon as March.2nd comes around i can put that game past me :D. in any case id go with Halo3, hell id rather play Time Splitters than MW2.

I also never said that MW2 had no glitches. Again my opinion is that Halo has more glitches that can be used to gain an advantage. Hence my OPINION and I did NOT state it as fact and have not stated it as fact at all.

Since when are glitches a subjective matter? Last time I checked, it's either there are glitches, or there are none. And something as simple as taking high ground isn't a glitch/exploit/cheap. I'd love to see you go on to a real battlefield and start complaining that a sniper is mounted on a cliff a miles away.

This whole time you've been saying that Halo 3 has more glitches than MW2, and that it was your opinion....Seeing that glitches aren't a matter of opinion, you're stating it as fact. Which it isn't. Quite the opposite.

Both games have faults with online. I personally have had bad experiences with Halo that has led me to not enjoy it as much as MW2. Halo can be a very fun game when you get put with good players and a good map/gametype. I feel that all around MW2 has a tighter online. Again is that me stating it as fact? No its not

But the problem is that not only is MW2 full to the brim of glitches/exploits, it simply doesn't have tighter online at all. Game ****may be a preference, but 4 player co-op, legit rankings, weekly updates, custom games, theater and double exp weekend out do anything that the CoD franchise has spit out in the last 3 years.

Read the post before you start looking for some hidden meaning behind what someone says. Not everyone wants to argue or be a douche online. I actually like having a disscussion and using valid points. I don't apprecite having my opinions be ****fied as wrong or false.

They are. We can only make judgments by what others say, since we don't know you. But we do know is that you consider taking high ground as an 'exploit', which is actually laughable. Is taking high ground in Battlefield an exploit too?

Voltaire once said "I do not agree with a word you just said, but I will fight to the death your right to say it." I have conducted myself calmly and mature through this whole topic and bashing and I am done with getting bashed by people who can't take that someone else has a different opinion than them.

When did I say anything about a high ground being a glitch or expliot. I meant that this guy was obviously in an area the developers did not want a person to be. Hence he used a glitch/exploit to gain a "cheap" advantage over other players. I would say that is not fair. Wouldn't you?

COD does have four player co-op (although I think MW2 only has two am I right?), it does have stat tracking, andit does have legit playlist. Being that COD is new game there is bound to be glitches. I never said that MW2 isperfect and I never said that Halo was bad. The topic is about opinion is it not? I don't feel that I have bashedHalo or said anything that could be taken offensivly.

As for high ground, of course it is a great thing to use. I never said thatit was unfair. I am talking about glitches and exploits. Saying that Halo is a tighter online experience isyour opinion andI do not agree with you. WillI bash you for it and say your opinion is wrong?Of course not so why don't you show the same level of maturity and respect?

I'm sorry, but Halo just destroys MW2 or any other CoD when it simply comes to what multiplayer should be. I've already mentioned a few things before, so I'll leave those out.

And CoD never had 4 player co-op. 4 player versus, yeah, but no co-op. Can't play 4 player split-screen online in CoD while you can in Halo. And by legit ranking I meant leaderboards. Take a look at the top of MW2's leaderboard. :x Are you really trying to tell me that better multiplayer qualities do not equate to a better multiplayer experience? Like I said, game play style may be a preference, but by judging both games purely on what multiplayer should be, Halo is miles ahead of CoD.

Anyways, the only way that anyone can get onto a cliff that's 'out of bounds' is either in forge or custom games, where you're obviously playing with friends, so it's not a big deal. Exploits are left, right and centre in public matches while playing MW2.

But I seriously think we're done here, since you seem to be trying to 'be the bigger man' instead of actually arguing points.

Personally... I like MW2 better... I know this is going to make a lot of Halo fans mad. But don't get me wrong, I LOVE HALO, the story line and the music are amazing... But MW2 is better. (IMO)
Both are fun.
I'm awful at Halo on Live but I also think the ranking system is messed up and it's stupid that you have to get rid of the overshield and melee or shoot them once before they are dead.
MW2 Hardcore Team Deathmatch seems way more competetive to me. One shot, your dead.
What is your opinion?

Failed2Live

WELL I THINK YOU HAVE A POINT ABOUT THE LEVELING SYSTME AND ON HALO YOU ONLY GET ARMOR BUT HALO IS WAY MORE COMPETATIVE YOU DONT JUST CAMPAND KILL PEPOLE IN ONE HIT YOU HALE TO BE GOOD TO KILL NOT JUST BE LUKE AND END UP BEHIND SOMEONE

The only reason I even still own Halo 3 is because whenever you have some friends over you can all jump on live together, but on MW2 you'd have to do split screen which isn't really as fun. But I still think that MW2 is better on live if you are by yourself, every time I try to play Halo I get into a lobby with terrible connection and there is never anyone to talk to.

Neither. MW2 is full of bugs, and glitches etc. But the bigger grievance I have is the awful community that plays it. If I wanted to be insulted daily for being a human being then I would play that game a lot more. Halo is just really really boring. Never have I encountered a less intense game with 8 people on it in a small arena. Maybe its got to do with the no music part. I hate, HATE that it has no music. Non intense gameplay + no music (creating at least a little intensity) = 0 intensity. And its sad, because of the things I've always liked about halo (not much other than CE) I love the soundtrack. Its intense and cool. Tack that onto multiplayer and its at least a little better. I'm probably the only person with that problem though. Overall Battlefield is the best imo.

See but I didn't find that Gears 2 was broken, I found that the first one was with all the shotgun running that happened. Personally I just think that Gears is generally just one over-rated pile with a few decent elemets (shooting, controls). Not to mention Marcus Fenix is a Douchebag. I think one of the biggest reasons that I didn't like Halo is because I hated the atmosphere of the game. If you know what I mean, and I mean about the little whiny kids, and how everyone online just seems to be a dick. Everyone goes "oh im better than u dur, watch me pwn ur n00b a$$" and that really makes me mad personallyRekashal
And which online game is there where people dotn act like that?

I prefer Halo 3 since it's balanced, there are no glitches or hacked servers, theres vehicle combat, forge, saved films and campaign co-op. The only thing I like in Modern Warfare 2 more than Halo 3 is it's graphics.vashkey
This, but I also enjoy Spec Ops.

No I do not have those high of levels. I stated in my original post that after it starts to get more competetive, Halo does shine. If you would read the post and get the neccessary information out of it we could have a meaningful discussion about our opinions. The original topic is based on opinion so how can anyone bash for giving it?

Oh, and about the tactics. Those things you mention are a handful of people that think that those "tactics" work. I agree with you that it is pretty BS sometimes in regards to the more "nooby" tactics. Saying COD has no tactics is false. It takes a lot of reflexs and awareness in order to have a good game on COD.

Even though I have been harsh on Halo, I do like the game. I also don't fault all the people who like the game, which is what I am guessing most people have though I am doing. Halo is a good game, personally I don't like the online. Thats just how I feel and I don't mean to offend.

dude, you have bad taste in games.....

Out of all honestly, Halo 3. COD fanboys talk about how gay it is, but that along with the rest of the series are very well crafted, especially online multiplayer. Good quality games, as compared to COD, with limited story, far less epicness, and the same mulitplayer routine that they rush to release every year.

IMO mw2 is already broken. And whats with the 15$ map packs? 15$ for 3 new maps and 2 old ones? They're not even remakes, they look exactly the same. In halo you play 10 dollars and you get 3 new maps and if they are remakes they have been updated graphically and gamplay wise. Reach is the nail in the coffin for mw2 and black ops is a joke.

The gameplay is kinda like comparing Quake or Unreal Tournament to Rainbow Six or Counter Strike. It's always going to come down to taste. Personally I prefer MW2 but that's mostly because I find games where you usually have to unload on enemies to have them go down slightly annoying that and I find things like jumping to be a bit over the top. That said I can still see why people would prefer Halo....I'm just not one of those people.

Failed2Live

It would be better if they took off Rocket Lauchers And Tubes in Hardcore Team Deathmatch cuz with it its just like anyother gametype and the same old S***. I like both BTW.

[QUOTE="iRanOutOfIdeas"]The only reason I even still own Halo 3 is because whenever you have some friends over you can all jump on live together, but on MW2 you'd have to do split screen which isn't really as fun. But I still think that MW2 is better on live if you are by yourself, every time I try to play Halo I get into a lobby with terrible connection and there is never anyone to talk to.STEVENHEIL1994

YOU HAVE NEVER PLYD HALO AND THAT IF A FACT I ONLY GET INTO A BAD LO BEY WERE THERE IS A BAD CONECTION ONCE EVRY MONTH OF TWO IND IF IT IS DIFRENT FOR YOU THEN YOU SHULD GET BETER BRAUD BAND ALSO EVREONE SPEAKS ON HALO BUT WEN THAY FIND A FULL TEAM OF PEPOLE WITH MICES THAY PARTY UP. ALSO IN COD I SHOOT SOMEONE FOR LKE 3 SECONDS AND THEN GET OWND EVEN THO IM DEAD ACURET AND WEN I WACH THE REPLAY IT SHOWS ME NOT EVEN ATEMPTING TO FIER BECAUSE OF THE BAD CONECTION ALSO I SEAM TO BE SHOT ROUND CORNERS ALOT.

i feel more stupid for reading this btw i prefer halo bc COD blows

I prefer Halo more. The different games feel diverse, but they're intuitive at the same time. It's very a much a game that's easy to pick up, and takes awhile to completely master. For someone that had never played a CoD game online before, MW2 just kind of threw me out there and expected me to swim. I've also seen a lot less exploits in Halo, aside from the ocassional player that messes with his latency. Halo also does a better job of diving the "hardcore" from the "casuals."

It really just comes down to prefered playstyle. As someone that doesn't have an HD tv, MW2 can be miserable to play when that guy in the distance is just a blob of pixels instead of a sniper about to blow my head off. There's less ways to manuever and "hide" in Halo, but at least I can see what's shooting at me. I really miss having flash-bangs, the class-customization, and dashing when I'm playing Halo instead of CoD though.

[QUOTE="Failed2Live"]

[QUOTE="chaoscougar1"] i think halo's ranking system is one of the best. Its one of the only games that seperates the pros from the newcomers. and how does shooting someone once make the game more competitive? that comment makes no sense

RoslindaleOne

Because it's more realistic. Let's be honest with ourselves. If I shot someone in the torso or the head they would either die instantly or bleed out... Presenting more of a challenge instead of having to run all over the map unloading hundreds of rounds, 2 grenades and a melee attack to destroy someone.

Halo games were never designed to be realistic, but lets make this discussion a little interesting. Halo has a reason to why people can be shot to hell and survive. That's because of the spartans/elites regenerating shield armor. There is no reason to why a human in Call of Duty can be shot a bunch of times and could survive. So, in a weird way, Halo is more realistic. :)

Lol this is so true

Personally I like Halo 3 on Live better than COD. Part of it is probably that I'm better at Halo than COD, but I like the ranking system and unlockables better than COD. The guns are the same for everyone so that makes it a more even playing field and the ranking system puts you with people around you're skill level more often than COD which just throws you in a game. The one thing I don't like is how easy it is for your level to go down.
