Halo ODST multiplayer question?

I know they are giving alot of maps with the second disk. Do you play as a spartan or ODST in the regular multiplayer?

The second disk is Halo 3's multiplayer. Including every multiplayer thing from Halo 3. It just includes new maps as well as every single map pack. That's why I haven't gotten any of the new maps!

exactly. i can wait another month to get all the maps for free when i buy odst, plus get the game

I'm really excited for it, and ^^ that's what I mean. All of my friends have already bought the new maps as well as getting odst. I would not get ODST if it didn't inlcude the maps. If you already have the maps, personally, I think it is not worth the full $60. Another thing. Anyone who is interested in getting it.. A good idea would be to sell your Halo 3 copy since ODST comes with the multiplayer.. unless of course you would want Halo 3's campaign.

I'm excited about the campaign and Fire Fight. The Halo 3 multiplayer is fantastic, but I've had a good fill of it.vashkey

Edite: Nevermind I just found the collector's from Gamestop.. $100 is a bit too much for my budget

Its spartans and elites. Although it would be awesome if there was a new mode that could allow 2 teams of ODST's killing each other.

The Halo 3 Matchmaking comes on a seperate disc and is 100% identical to the original multiplayer.

You get three maps Halo 3 cannot get though. Heretic, Citadel and Longshore. Also, there are going to be THREE 'Vidmaster' Achievements. If you have an account on the website www.Bungie.net and you have ALL Seven 'Vidmaster' achievements, you will be awarded with the popular 'Recon' armor permutation.

Three vidmaster achievements can be gained on Halo 3 RIGHT now, one of the requires having both games, the other three come out in ODST. So the only real Multiplayer unlock is the 'Recon' armor.

Pre-ordering Halo 3:ODST will unlock the 'Sargeant Johnson' player character for the Halo 3:ODST 'Firefight' mode.
