Hard drive transfer problem?

I'm having a problem with my hardrive after using the transfer kit. I've already transfered all of my data to the new harddrive, however the xbox does not recognize the harddrive. It does however recognize the old harddrive.

Any ideas?

the newer HD is fried maybe. You could of just gotten a bad one.
