Platinum artist in Rock Band, I could handle the guitar alone, but finding someone willing to ( and good enough) to beat the endless setlist with you, is just plain hard.
The Inhuman Achievement and 7 day survivor are the runners up.

I agree with Orange boxes acheivments I say the freaking portal basic-aperature are a pain in the ass and Half life 2's keep off sand is ridicoulus, and I remember one of my friends saying that some of marvel ultimate alliance golden age of comments is hard I laughed so badlyColemenkillerYou use cheats for the portal achievements, its that simple, Keep off the sand isn't hard, it just takes patience.
its pretty hard to get the press Start at the start screen achievment on the simpsons game if you dont have a start button
AsHeavenIsWide
Exactly But I have 3 that I think are tied whch are
Seriously.. Get 10,000 kills - GOW
Saints Row - Kingpin (reach the skill rank of Kingpin online)
and last but not least something I cannot try any other way
idk the name but the COD4 Achievement for the Tv Studio Level on Veteran I can't beat it!!
Becoming the number 1 ranked in the worl on every playlist in GRAW1mrxb0x360haha yeah no kidding what a bad achievment.
idk the name but the COD4 Achievement for the Tv Studio Level on Veteran I can't beat it!!bnissancowenter the TV room, turn right, run to the corner, throw a flashbang toward the spawn point, run to the spawn point, and camp there. your mates clean up the entire room. might take a couple tries and you have to hustle.
The level only using the gravity gun was raven holm LOL that was an easy acheivement I got it on my first try no offense of courseid definately say either keep off the sand (only use grav gun for a specific level, i cant remember, on half life)

or saint, the stupid AI....stupid, stupid AI.
most annoying i thought was mile high club, because it took at least 40 tries, and when i finally got it, it was basically a glitch cuz i only killed one or two dudes and am surprised i didnt die, and when i went to headshot the assasin, there were like 3 badguys in the room it was weird.

Call of Duty 4- Mile High Club. (Got it.)
Dead Rising- 7 Day Survivor. (Not even close.)
Call of Duty 2- Veteran Campaign (Nope.)
Guitar Hero III- Most of them. Just insanely hard. I know people that are absolute GODS at this game and have like 150/1000 GS.
GRAW 1- Become #1 ranked in the world in MP. Stupid.
I dont think anyone can compete with this.
Dead Rising- 7 day survivor.
You must play for 14 HOURS STRAIGHT WITH NO SAVES. Your health slowly drains, and you must run around killing, and finding food, or you starve to death.
Good luck playing for 14 hours non-stop...without saving...

done it
[QUOTE="Avenger1324"]Chromehounds has 6 achievements based on being #1 on leaderboards :?killerfist
there are only 100 people that actualy played it online so it couldnt be that hard to get those :P
haha sad but true.[QUOTE="Xprimentyl"][QUOTE="killerfist"][QUOTE="MsCortana"]I don't know about the hardest, but the Little Rocket Man achievement was aggravating for me. silverelias
Agreed..Im not even gonna try that one. :P
No! It's not THAT bad, it's more time-consuming than anything. The hardest part is getting him past the Guardian Antlion in the caves and keeping him in the car during the "car" levels. A few tactics:
Set "Reggie" down somewhere, mop up baddies then go pick him up. He doesn't need to be right next to you the entire time!
Save OFTEN.
In the car, wedge Reg through the back window so that he's laying down parallel to the length of the car; he'll pop out every now and again, but far less often than if you try to prop him up in the back seat; yeah, don't even bother trying to keep him in the back seat; he won't stay there long and Alyx is far to self-involved to hold him in her lap... (Sure, you're saving the world, and she can't even help out with lawn fixtures.)
During one of the acts with the Guardian Antlion (the part where it blocks your path around the huge stalactite(gmite, whichever) and chases you,) you'll want to LAUNCH Reggie ahead of you so you can sprint, but make sure he lands in such away that you can suck him back up with the gravgun from the saftey of cover a few steps ahead. SAVE before this, you will be here a while.
Everything else is just: drop Reg, kill bad guys, pick Reg up and proceed.
you know you can leave the gnome where sheckly and griggs are instead of taking it to the antlion guards den
...................... dammit.
i think there was a thread about this a couple days ago, but i never got to read it. but anyways...I think one of the hardest were in COD4PyritePedestal
you started this thread but never told us which one you thought. Just what game it was in. could it be mile high club? i hated the one with the tv i missed like a tv the first 3 times and wanted to die. eventually i just grenaded the whould TV room and got it at the end.
ive only played like 7 games since i got it from christmas and the halo 3 online ones seem pretty tough, and are worth so little i have no enthusiasm to try for em, they are more misteak achivements.
the hardest one I've personally done? Beating Bullet Witch on the hardest difficulty was pretty damn hard. Same with CoD3 on veteran and RB6V on realistic. I also just today beat DMC 4 on dante must die mode....but that wasn't that hard. I don't know, I don't really do the insanely hard achievements.
edit: scratch that, the hardest one had to be getting the overkill achievement legitimately in Halo 3 back when there were only 5 people per lone wolf match. That took freaking forever
i have a few friends with thisI dont think anyone can compete with this.
Dead Rising- 7 day survivor.

Honestly I didn't find Mile High Club that challenging, frustrating yes, but not challenging. As long as you move forward stick to one side and use the flashes it's fairly easy. Your teammates are godless, killing machines. I must of failed that mission 50 times only. But when beaten the satisfaction was unparalleled, like eating a McRib sandwhich
EDIT: This was my first Veteran mission I completed
There are a couple that come to mind:
All Costumes Complete (Rumble Roses XX) - this one isn't hard as much as it is grueling. The regular achievements are bad enough, but this one also requires you to grind through and complete every objective to obtain every costume for the 30-odd custom characters in order to get this achievement. If you're lucky it'll take 2 hours apiece, so add 60 hours on top of god knows how many to get the main characters' costumes as well. Ugh.
Game Master (Smash TV) - Yeah, no. I can't even beat the first level on one continue, and I know no one with this achievement as the last level would be awful to make it through even if you actually managed to reach that point without continuing.
Enlightened Guitarist (GH3) - Gold star twenty expert songs in the game. Uh huh. Yeah, the person who put together the Guitar Hero III achievements wasn't a total dick.
Final Route (Ridge Racer 6) - It takes an awful lot of slogging through repeated races to reach the end of the game, but the final set of races are damn hard on top of that. Anyone who's earned this achievement has my respect, and a little bit of fear.
I don't know about the hardest, but the Little Rocket Man achievement was aggravating for me. MsCortana
I agree 100%, I got him there 3 different times and it still hasn't given me the achievement

Agreed, frustrating, but not necessarily difficult, if that make sense. I prolly doubled your 50 attempts and hit a blood pressure in the "four digits over three digits" range. But I don't Like McRibs, (I'm pretty sure they're just hamburgers cut into a faux-rib rack shape and slathered in BBQ sauce... hope that doesn't ruin the experience. :P)

Oh, man I hope, you saved somewhere near the end with him with you. This got me once also, but my frenetic saving saved me a bit of hassle. The one time your in the same room with the rocket, you have to put him INTO THE NOSE OF THE ROCKET AND CLOSE THE DOOR TO THE NOSE! The achievement should unloack as soon as you "activate" the door closing!

oh man thanks for the tip, I must have put him in there like 4 times but I can't remember closing the door, I thought maybe the headcrab had something to do with it

No problem; good luck, hopefully you've got a save near that part!
I did the same thing; I put him in there and walked away thinking I had to beat the game or at least get to the part where you witness the rocket launching; so like an hour later, I beat the game and got nothing. I was beyond pissed, but fortunately, I had a save right in the rocket room which I loaded, crammed him back in and saw the door.... out of curiosity, I "activated" it; it slammed shut and the achievement unlocked!
LOL, I thought the same thing about having to watch the rocket go in to space
I'll try it later today, can't wait to get it done
