I think he/she is talking about the feature where you can install games onto your 360 HD and load from the harddrive for faster loading times. I guess they must have been unable to finish this feature in time for experience launch. But the original poster evidently doesn't know that the game disc must still be inserted into the disc drive in order for the game to play, still. It's kinda a pointless feature I guess, but it might make a difference who knows.

My advice to said OP is to download some Arcade games (I recommend DOOM!) if they want some stuff to play without loading in game discs.

to the op, the second poster said that it was against the rules. this is because, he thinks that you were going to install games on the hdd and then return them to like blockbuster or w.e. so its technically "stealing" if u know what i mean. thats probably not ur idea, but that is why ms does not allow u to install the games and not keep the disc in there, its for proof that u actually own the game.

Really? Is this being brought up again? Why the hell would Microsoft allow you to install the game onto your hard drive for you to play without the cd.

Wow.

Exactly! There is no way to do it because if you could play it without the cd, you wouldn't need to buy games again. Now let that sink in for you... Okay, I think our job is done here. Just to be sure though, let's summarize: You can't play the installed game from the HDD without the disc because then you would be able to just rent games and take them back and still play the games. You need the disc to authenticate your copy.

You have to put the disc in as an anti piracy security measure. And the point of doing it is faster load times for the games. Just get off your fat arse every few hours and quit whining.

Modifying your games or console in any way that isn't approved by Microsoft falls under our definition of illegal activities.

No disc cracks definitely fit this bill. Please don't discuss this subject any further.
