[QUOTE="format_kid"]How exactly are they breaking?Braedon12
Usually the earpiece stops working but sometimes the other part stops working.
Open the ear piece thing, a wire probably came loose and you can solder it back on. Or maybe the little metal piece might be coming off at where it plugs into the controller? That happened to my first headset somehow.you guys must not play very much ive only had my xbox for about 9 months and im on my 6th headset.Braedon12you maybe play too much
[QUOTE="Staryoshi87"]mine would still work too if i never took it out of the box.Some people just can't take care of their things :( My Headset has been flawless for the 4 months I've had it.

Are you insinuating that I haven't? Because that's dumb. Don't make me go Alec Baldwin on you.

 Well, if everyone has had theirs for awhile, and your's keeps breaking, then there's a sign you must be doing something wrong. There is no reason for it to break unless you do something to it, you're not cursed by the evil microsoft headset corporation, you're probably abusing it. I've had mine for 5 months, never had a problem, and yea I've taken it out of the box >_>

50 hours a week? Do you have no life? You spend more time playing live than people spend working their full time jobs, do you not go to school or work?

Yea its not you its your headset. the one that came with my xbox did the same thing. Allot of people have that problem. I bought another one and I also got one when I bought my xbox camera and they work fine. Its not because you don't take care of your stuff there's just some faulty ones out there its in the electronics.And by the way I take very good care of my things.I dont think anyone takes care of thier sh!t better than me it just that i play over 50 hours a week.Braedon12
50 hours a week? That's wwwwwwwaaayyyyyy to much.

Well, I can tell you one thing, I've had my Xbox since Launch and still have the original headset (although I've since upgraded to the wireless) and I play at least 50 hours a week (up until recently, since there aren't any good games out that I haven't already beaten or are interested in). I've never had any equipment break on me and I use it alot. Just take care of it and store it in a safe place.
i have noticed that all my headsets get this strange yellow spot on the ear foam. BTW i have very clean earsBraedon12 YEAH, I GET THAT TOO!!!!!!!! I wonder if it's because I sweat too much lol.
when i bought my360 on launch used the head set that came with it for 5 month's in till the earpiece stop working then I bought the $30 Plantronics headset guess what same dame problem this seems to be a case of crappy craftsmanship i notice this problem my hole life with cheaply made headsets and yeah I'm pissed cuz now I got to go spend another 30 on a cheep ass head set........ the only head set that lasted about 2 & 1/2 years was that one earpiece design by mad cats that cosed me 4 dollars if only it had a volume control
I keep buying the standard headset and they all break in about a month.Braedon12This is the same situation I'm having, I've went through 3 headsets so far and mysteriously they just stop working out of the blue. No! It's not from misuse or abuse I take care of the things I own, anyways I don't see how anyone really could break a headset unless you stepped on it which leaves me to beleive their is a bunch of faulty headsets out there. I mean how carefull do you have to be with a darn headset.
