I put the fighting up all of the way and have been playing the game for a while now and i still have not gotten into one fight. Anyone know what to do to get into a fight.
You have to use the 'Y' button to slash one of the other teams players and if the other team has any fighters on the ice a fight will usually break out. Be warned though, the fighting in the game is actually HORRIBLE!
Yeah, it's only happened to me once in my 70+ games. Honestly, once was one too many times for me to experience it. Like the above posters said, it's a terrible fighting system. I actually turn the slider all the way down now so it doesn't happen again.
you guys must suck at it i always do it on accident. And you dont need to slash to do it all you have to do is check somebody whose a fighter and hold Y doesnt even have to be on your player who checked. Ive done it plenty of times it even happens online sometimes. But yea it does suck i hate when it happens.
This is one of the things that is frustrating about EA Sports. I mean, this is a pretty good hockey game, but the fighting SUCKS. Why don't they borrow the fighting engine that EA Chicago created for Fight Night? I mean, it doesn't have to be as robust as FN's engine, obviously, but the two-stick system works really well. If the fighting was worthwhile it would make the game even better.

Heh, more like 3-4 Penalties a game from him alone... he gets called for EVERYTHING in my Franchise. He spends more time in the box than on the ice... lol.
