Has Microsoft made a profit yet on the 360?

Microsoft says its trying to create a largefan base of their console.They consider it an investment and will make money "eventually". The way things are going with hardware problems I dont see how they will make a profit until their "fan base" buys theirnext console. But there is no such thing as loyalty with gamers. The PS2 was at the top then everyone ditched Sony for Microsoft's XOBX 360. How long will Microsoft go on before they make tons of money or will they continue the 0 profit forever.

yea i know that but im talking about the fact that MS has never turned a profit on their gaming devision. They are still in debt and will continue to be in debt for a long time to come

i think we should be more concerned about the ps3, but since this is the 360 boards, then no, companies cant expect to make profit right away due to millions of reasons. most of them having to do with support and all that, but it balances itself out after a while.icedfacekilla57

and no we shouldn be talking about the ps3, because sony's playstation division isnt even close to being as much in the red as MS is. and yeah this is the 360 forum

Yeah, there were several articles saying they made over $70 profit on each 360. I'm pretty sure they're making profit off the 360 since manufacturing price has dropped over the past 2 years.
