Head to www.msn.com
Click on "Hotmail"
Now on the left hand corner the "Windows Live" symbol will be there, click on it, then click on "Account"
Switch your birthday to something over 18 (like 1984).
Head back onto live, now TRY to download an M rated video or something, IF THIS DOESNT WORK TRY THIS.
With your new birthday head to "Account Management" on your 360.
Select "Promote Child Account"
Then follow the steps.
And were good to go.

This would be great if it worked, but I dont think it does. My 360 still says I'm a child account.

Thats why he said that you need to "Promote Child Account". I'm guessing you did not do that.

The solution is to never put your real age on anything like this if you're under 18.

Agreed, I learned that over two years ago when I created this account.

The proper solution is don't be under the age of 18. It even says you're supposed to be 18 in the TOS for Live. Thats why there shouldn't be little kids wasting space online but there is.

That's not a solution, that's an after thought to a lot of people, a precaution. Too late for 1000s of people now.

Just because somebody is under the age of 18 does not make them a little kid. Some of these teens are pretty mature for their age so you can shutup. By the way, your sig really is not funny. /Facepalm

No but someone that is 8 years old and plays Call of Duty 4 is a little kid who shouldn't be playing that game. Lives TOS says you're supposed to be 18 and so if they say that they should enforce it. If you're not old enough to purchase the game legally you're not old enough to play it online like terms you agreed to and thats a pretty fair statement. If you have enforced age restrictions for purchasing then there should be enforced restrictions for playing, and to think otherwise is to be a hypocrit.

I agree in the eye of the law. But when it comes to business, a sale is a sale, a subscription from a 14 year old is money. The gaming industry wouldn't get nearly as much money as it does if people under 18 didn't buy M rated games. It's doing it a favour.
