headset help on halo please

hi,

i recently purchesed an xbox 360, plus halo. i also connected to xbox live gold through my months free trial. when i paly on match making i plug my wired headset in and flick the mic on, but i cant hear anyone, a mic in the corner tells me that its recieving my voice but i am not able to co-op.

Check u volume. Or check the main headset and voice settings the mic may be turned off

i dont think its the volume, could be th settings but i doubt it. another thing is when im in the lobby the other players have a cancel sign next to then, if this helps.

If you are younger parental settings may be blocking the sound, check the parental settings.

I had the same problem with a buddy and our routers didn't jive. I hook the 360 directly to my modem and it solved the problem.

check behind your TV, it could be Chuck Norris blocking the sound.

by the way, is your volume knob all the way to the right? i've known several people that put it to the left, that would definitely make a difference.

I would suggest checking with a buddy he can be quite hostile
