im trying to use it for gears of war and i cant hear through the headset, only the tv

im not sure if anyone can hear me through the mic either

Make sure that your 360's dashboard settings are set to headset only (they're in the options somewhere). If they are set to headset only check the Gears options, though I'm not sure if there is something in there for it or not. If those two things don't work, then it's probably broken.

press the xbox button on your controller and go down to personal settings and click Voice and set it to headset only or both if u want to hear through your tv and ur headset

I can hear through both the headset and the TV, but I only want to hear throught the headset. I have already put the voice to headset only, but it still plays through both, any help? I am using the halo 3 wireless headset.
