HELP ME ! Halo 3 Scratch Problem

i ordered Halo 3 Limited Edition Asian version from play-asia (net-shop based in hong kong) and instead, they gave me the chinese version. so i returned the game and asked for store credit. but they refused to give full refund (USD 59.90) but instead they just want to pay USD 45. and their reason for this is because they said that there were scratches on the DVD. everyone knew about the scratch problem in the Limited Edition but they said that this problem is only reported in the US version, not the asian/chinese version. is it true that the scratch problem only exist only in the US version, and does not happen in other version? i need a link to a news report about this scratch problem in asian/chinese version so that i could ask them fo full refund. please help me!

I don't see how the problem could only be limited to the North American or US versions of Halo 3 LE - since it's all the same packaging. The flaw was in the design of the case, which failed to hold a lot of discs during shipping (thus, scratching them).

Basically, demand another copy and refuse to pay a cent more than you have. If you still want a refund, then be sure to get the full amount, not some "compromised" price.

ppl were having problems with the discs when the game first released i dont know why the problems are still occuring they should have stopped. anyway i dont know what you should do but thats all i had to say, i wanted to make that statement clear. btw when i got my legendary edition everything was fine and dandy

Wow, that sure is a bummer. I'm sorry.

As for a fix, I'm wondering if you couldn't contact Microsoft support to report the problem? I don't know how useful that suggestion is but it's all I can think of.

It looks like it's going to come down to a fight between you and the retailer who sold it to you.

There are problems with it everywhere. Hell, mine came with a DENT in the disc, of all things. And I bought the normal edition....

thanks for the advice! this has been going on for a long time actually, and the customer service people from play-asia is really stubborn and always find ways to NOT give me my full refund. i will try to tell them that the packaging is the same between the US & Chinese/Asian version so it share the same problem; and see what their reaction is. i'm sure they're going to ridicule me more, politely.
