i can't connect to live. WHen I test the connection, it says my network adapter is disconnected. THe thing is, it's been connected this whole time and my 360 fails to identify that it's still plugged into that usb port in the back. I turn on the console, plug out the usb and plug it back in the 360 then boot it up and it still saids disconnected. Their is know light on the back of my adapter??

Has anyone else had the same problem? If so please help.

whenever I have that problem I just keep unplugging it and plugging it in. Also, make sure it is in there all the way as the USB sometimes is a little fussy and doesn't stay in.

How many times have you unpluged it and pluged it back in for it to work. Im asking this because i already tried it about 15 times and it still isn't working.

P.S

Thanks for the support.

It sounds like a static discharge problem, as odd as it sounds, disconnect everything connected (mem cards, hard drive, power cord etc.) This should fix the problem. If it worked before this should restore the connection to the port.

Status Light Indications

The status lights on the Xbox 360 Wireless Networking Adapter indicate the following:

  • Green steady: Adapter is on and connected to a wireless access point (infrastructure) or another wireless device (ad-hoc).

    Green steady
  • Red steady: Adapter is ready to be connected to a wireless network.

    Red steady
  • Red blinking: Hardware failure.

I'm having a similar problem, possibly not the same one. The adapter used to work but now the 360 claims it is not connected. When I plug it into the rear USB port that it is supposed to use the red light comes on solid, but it never shows up on the network setup screen. If I instead plug it into one of the front USB ports (I use one of them for my recharge and play cable) the network setup screen recognizes it, the light turns green and everything works properly.

I have had problems with the usb ports not working on my systems aswell and is prob the case with yours. try the front ones but if that does not work you will have to decide if it is worth the $130 repair cost to send it in ( I wouldn't)
